Great reaction, again! This is a spectacular gathering of rare talent. First, the choir, consists of experienced, dedicated, passionate and talented singers, is phenomenal and produces beautiful and transcendent harmonies. Second, the choir conductor, in the right-center with gray hair, is the acclaimed Christo Burger, who has participated in master classes at the Juilliard School of Music in New York, USA, and also at the Royal College of Music in London, UK. Third, the exceptional instrumentalists, selected from the Classics Symphonic Orchestra, who always play in the editions of Classics is Groot, in which Amira has participated since she was a child. Fourth, the refined and award-winning pianist Charl du Plessis, Steinway ambassador. He personally went to Germany to choose this Steinway Model C Grand Piano. He also was the music director of this concert. He played with Amira numerous times. Amira's rehearsals are basically just her and Charl du Plessis. And finally, Amira's heavenly and powerful voice, with its beautiful and unique tone. Amira, combining her prodigious intelligence with her firm determination, ease of learning, courage to apply, perfectionism and faith, continues her unavoidable path of becoming the greatest soprano singer of all time.

Can you imagine Amira in another few years when her voice matures ? The female voice usually matures mid to late twenties, so we are in for some extraordinary, mind blowing times. Yes it's from a Verdi opera. La Forza del destino - The force of destiny. The heroine is hiding in a cave from a vengeful father, praying for protection. The piece is a small part of Amira 's concert - An African Christmas with Amira and friends. She did it in 2020 during the pandemic, when she was 16. She caught a fever herself on the second day of recording. But was back a week later to tidy up some lose ends of filming. A dvd and cd are available of the full set. There are a couple of other songs on KZbin - I'll walk with God - Little drummer boy. The closing song The Lords Prayer was posted, but seems to have been taken down. The official posting of this one was taken down too. It didn't have the subtitles on it. Thanks for reacting to it. Always a joy.

The aria La Vergine degli Angeli is from the opera La Forza del Destino by Giuseppe Verdi and relates a prayer to the virgin of the angels for protection. In the opera the male choir is off stage.

Do your homework my friend before attempting to review an aria about which you know nothing!! This aria is from Verdi's La Forza del Destino. It is a beautiful example of the g major arpeggio which Verdi executes so masterfully. Amira in her humility considers herself a part of an overall performance and lets the beauty of Verdi shine through. Observe her face, her countenance in this performance! She is like a devinely inspired angel. In the traditional presentation of this aria, the chorus is offstage Here they are on stage. Amira though extremely young as a Verdi soprano is up there with all the greats especially with Maria Callas, her idol. Be well and God bless.
