Hi. Couple of points, I believe Patrizio was born in 1978, and Amira in 2004, so there is 26 years between them. She was 12 at this show. Amira's mother was from South Africa, so she learned to speak it at a young age. S. Africa had been a Dutch colony, so there are strong connections between there and the Netherlands where she was born. There is a lovely little video of behind the scenes at this concert ( Morletapark) with Amira getting ready for the show. It finishes with Patrizzio giving her some encouragement and advice. It's worth a watch. Amira has a very strong faith and has recorded quite a few hymns and songs with religious themes. I can recommend Nearer my God to thee, I'll walk with God, ( another duet ), How great thou art. And she has done a stunning, and rather tuneful version of the Lords Prayer. Ave Maria, Panis Angelicus, and Sancta Maria are frequent in her concert repartoire. Perhaps the most stunning performance is her singing Ave Maria Gomez, in 2015, at the Canisius church Christmas concert. There are also vids of her singing Oh Holy Night, at the Albert Hall and other venues. In one interview she described her faith as the engine of her career. It seems to keep her well grounded. Which is a blessing.

Andrew, I agree with you 100% that Ave Maria-Gomez's performance is one of the most stunning of all Amira's performances. I am not religious nor Christian, but I am moved to tears each and every time I see and hear it. It is much more than a song. It is a very deep prayer. The feeling imprinted in her singing is overwhelming. Amira was totally immersed in the singing. Upon ending, it took her a couple of seconds to get back to Earth. It's a pitty that there isn't a professional recording of that performance.

What can be said of 12 year old Amira. She has such a beautiful voice, Patrizio a baritone is great singer. I learned of him here on this performance and learned more watching this whole concert on DVD. He has a rock and roll band. Might enjoy this hidden performance him doing a Tom Jones song. Hi. Your reactions to the wonderful Amira are great. I don't know if you have covered this guy but, if not,you will be blown away( probably to Australia) by a singer called" Marcelito Pomoy. Listen to him singing" The Prayer" on the Wish Bus. Prepare to be startled to put it very mildly.

Your reaction was wonderful. When Amira sings she really means it. The emotion that comes through in her voice is true and real aided to a considerable degree I believe by her Christian faith. " I'll walk with God" in another duet is spine tingling. " La Virgine degli Angeli" is only short but will leave every hair on your body standing on end. Basically your everyday reaction to Amira.

Hi. Amira sings many Christian sons and hymns. If you would like to listen to Amira sing Afrikaans she sings Die Onse Vader (The Lords Prayer) in Afrikaans. One of the performances is live in South Africa with other South African singers. Someone else that is amazing to listen to singing Afrikaans is Corlea Botha singing Grasssade in die Wind (Grass Seeds in the Wind). Corlea also sings the most beautiful duet with Amira in French - the Flower Duet.

Afrikaans is in fact Dutch related dialect, in the 1800’s a big group emigrants from the Netherlands moved to South Africa and of course took their home language with them. Samira has lived in the Netherlands too. Dutch people will understand Afrikaans and vice versa.

Nice reaction,Thank you.Amira also sang this duette with Ben Heijnen at the Nuwe Kerk Huizen,in the Nether- lands.It is well worth watching as they held a duette,to see who could a note the longest.Amira held hers for thirteen seconds.Ben conceded defeat.The audience and orcastra were highly amused.She also sang O Mio Babbino Caro and NellaFantasia This was held at the Classics Is Groot concert,on 30 June 2016. From a classical professional viewpoint or if you want nitpick nothing Amira sings thru a microphone is opera but popopera. In that case her Alma Deutscher duet still is the closest she's been to real opera.

I'm well aware that Amira is not close to "real opera", and I'm glad that she is too intelligent to want to pursue "real opera" - at least at this stage; "real opera" is something that was forced on singers some 400 years ago, because there was no alternative. It's a dieing form of entertainment, because the World is changing. Prior to Covid 19, Andre Rieu was demonstrating the economic advantages of huge audiences, and crying all the way to the Bank about the criticism he was receiving from the traditional opera fanatics, and the likes of Coleske Artists were trying to emulate him. Covid 19 put a stop to all that, and Amira has been putting out "streaming concerts" - which are totally dependent on electronic amplification - and has been using KZbin purely for her advertising. Right now, we have people trying to put the clock back, and pretending that pandemics are no longer a problem - but it isn't going to work in the long run, and Amira knows that. Yes, she does have "squillo" and yes, she intends to study singing in CapeTown in 2024, which probably means that she will pick up Bel Canto technique; but that does not mean that she will aim at the traditional opera scene; she is looking ahead, not backwards, and the criticism of "popera" Vs "Opera" is completely irrelevant as far as I am concerned, and I think as far as Amira is concerned. I suggest that you look at her interview with the "crossover" magazine; she makes her preferences very clear - she will sing what she enjoys, and that includes the occasional operatic aria. BTW, I'm a moderator on her FansGroup, so you can stop lecturing me.

Can you imagine Amira mother responded to a comment on one of her latest reaction videos, how unprofessional and intelligent is that😄. Amira recently, as a 18 year birthday, had a concert labelled "On My Own", still her mother in public comments on her behalf, saying Amira only are waiting for her voice to mature so she can expand her repertoire to next "Coloratura" level😄. She has no clue and don't understand Coloratura means agility and easily can be trained at an early age but you must have that ability from the beginning, there are thousands of example of young opera singers training coloratura. And her mother also said in her coming 2023 concert Amira will sing opera in a new way never done before, if Amira continue sing amplified, from a professional viewpoint, it's not serious opera, but popopera. Between Squillo is a technique of singing and anyone can train it to an individual level but to sing with a solid voice as a professional on opera stages you must be born with the right physique. It's like in sport in heavy weight class you cannot be born in the light class.

Hey it's survivor Joe, I do apologize when I left SOS, however their was a difference in opinion on how I was to play my character in game. I was told to change talents to all ECO build and I told them I didn't mind spending cash on speed ups for my troops healing if I needed to. Then they told me again to change my Talents so I told them I'll try it for 2 weeks and If I didn't like it I may leave the game. I hated it and since they wanted me to be a farm I left the game so all could farm me. Take care

Great reaction, thank you - Amira's mastery of vibrato at age 12 is astounding and this gives her voice its rounded, full, velvet, radiant sound.
