My amish friend William gave me a ride in his buggy.And yes this really is how they get around! Remember, the amish are not backwards, they're just technologically impaired!!

yes his family runs a small cabinet making company called peaceful valley cabinets about a mile south of fair-rite company.he was very nice to give me a ride in his buggy. his brother tricked his buggy out also ill ask him one day to record him,im surprised they allow video recording.

Some Amish (depending on town and such) do have some basic stuff like that. He said he put the lights on there because he doesn't want to get run over--which makes sense. There are even some groups who--while they reject technology like TVs, phones, computers, video games and such--still have vehicles like trucks or tractors to help them work their farms.

Most amish are not allowed to have electricity or any motorised transportation. But they are allowed to have equipment ( Bobcats, tractors and other farm equipment)

I like Amish's simple life style but, early days no engine power so they used horses. Now they can use buggy with engine/solarpower or old type of simple automobile. Better to free animals that's more important
