My grandpa had a 16 inch dinner bell that belonged to his granddad, when my grandpa passed away someone had the gall to steal it. One day I will have one and it will be passed down through the generations. Thank you for showing this it brought back so many memories.

I'm genuinely feeling offended on your behalf! That bell is probably something most folks wouldn't bat an eye at but it's literally a part of your history! I hope you'll eventually get yourself a good bell from which you can call many meals with your near and dear!
@Shitbird3249Ай бұрын
It’s not right that it was taken, hell no it’s not, but having a new one and bolting it down/welding it and giving it a good ring will be what sounds off loud enough for a few generations back to hear. Best of luck with your bell and sound one off for this random KZbin comment !

I'm a 71 year old widow originally from Akron, Ohio. Back in 1998, my brother was diagnosed with cancer. He lived in Enterprise, Alabama. He managed to drive to my house in Roanoke, VA. We then proceeded to go to Akron, our only other sibling, our oldest sister, still lived there. We stayed at her house and she took us to the Amish country. We had one of best days of our lives. We actually got along 😮 We went shopping and right at the same store you're filming from, my brother bought me a marble rolling pen. I still use it to this day. We then went to a large restaurant that sat up high on a hill. The food was the best in all the land 😋 We continued to shop at just about every store. There were another one that had a deli with every kind of cheese you could imagine, and the smells of the cheese and meats were amazing! They also had a huge ice cream area. Our sister told us to wait, when she returned she had an ice cream cone for both of us, chocolate, of course 😋 However, it was the largest ice cream cone I'd ever seen in my life 😮 It had to be close to a half a gallon. She tells us that those are the mediums. It took everything we had to eat them all. Ohhhh my goodness, I've never tasted ice cream, so wonderful since! So, yes indeed, going to the Amish country in Ohio is well worth the trip. Definitely check out their fabric shops, top notch fabrics!! Both my brother and sister have gone home to Jesus but I hope to get back to the Amish country soon with my niece. Y'all stay safe, healthy, and blessed 👑🙏💞✝️🐾🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯
