I love listening to the clip clop of the horse and buggies passing by. I find it relaxing to listen to. You found a good spot to sit and watch them pass by.

Such a peaceful way to travel! That was a heck of a lot of buggy traffic. It was like an Amish parade!

Was this more in the southern part of the county? They have a lot more of the open buggies down there. Fun video, I liked the guys who were waving!

@@quietplaces2018 I have had horses for 60 years now, work our farm with them, and I still love the sounds and smell and everything else around them. Before I immigrated to the USA in 1991 I had visited Lancaster County twice, staying with friends in Kinzers, and found the entire area fascinating. Now I live in the Midwest, 1 1/2 hrs. from Jamesport, MO where there is a small Amish community. There I got harness and equipment for my horses.

Hi, I have done some work in radio and I have a suggestion for your recording of the horses and other outside ambience try putting your recorder in a buckskin pouch around your neck make sure the pouches, an inch or two higher than your recorder this will eliminate the thundery wind noise across your microphone works especially well with Olympus digital recorders buckskin, won’t make crackling noises like other kinds of cloth

Yea we struggle with the annoying wind noise! Thanks for that suggestion!!! We have a dead cat for it but does not eliminate the harsh wind. Definitely will look into this! Thanks again!

@@quietplaces2018 it would be interesting if you guys could find a Toyota that runs silently and drive it down a gravel road as far as you could go because it just seems like it would sound really fun and I guarantee you no one else on KZbin has done that when you put a recorder in a buckskin pouch like I mentioned, make sure the patch is a little bit taller than the recorder, because pulling the drawstring pouch will keep the wind out but it won’t bother the sound Tara Forn

Ps some of those horses looked so tired going up the hill.
