Sara, I live 1/2 hour from Smicksburg, pa. That’s Amish country. You would be in Heaven if you lived that close. I love the Amish. They are so cute. And any thing they make or bake is delicious! My Dad used to haul them to town cause it’s to far for horse and buggy’s. Tell Jamie you want a trip to Smicksburg to Amish country.

Wish we had an Amish ppl & their stores in our City - they are country ppl - large farming communities - don’t know of any in Canada? Great idea - looks & sounds like very good mixes, so convenient! Such generous & kind ppl! Thanks for this, Sara! Had what u have now, Sara, irritated throat....I took loads of time released vitamin C - 1,000 units 4 times per day - breakfast, lunch, dinner, bedtime! Works quickly to rid the virus!

Amish, or Pennsylvania dutch cooking, actually uses very little spices or fresh herbs in thier cookings(saffron for pot pie,parsley). The spices they do use are generally for baking: ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon, etc. So most of these mixes are not Amish at all, but meant to appease other American tastes.
