Beautiful cabin a lot of work in FOUR days for sure. Very organized build and the craftsmanship is top notch. The owner is thrilled and obviously very happy and pleased. That's a good thing for sure. Full basement is fantastic doubled the living space especially with one bedroom on main floor this allows more bedrooms and play area for the kids. GREAT PLAN. God bless.

Fantastic work. I am very close to my Amish friends here in northern Michigan. I bought a real nice storage shed from one family and another family completely removed my old garage roof and replaced it for a price far lower than any contractor I checked with. The big difference I see is when they did my garage roof I picked up four men early in the morning and took them home around five and they also had only hand and battery tools. I realize there are many different Amish people and some do things very different than all the rest.

Really nice. I've always loved log cabins. This is the first of these type of videos I've seen where the owner is helping out, and I've long wondered if that could represent some discount on the construction cost. Well I'm not young, and I'm not sure my labor would be worth much. I remember roughly when those I-joists were a new invention. The are supposed to be super strong. I have little to no building skills, but I just happen to remember these things because I was so impressed at the time.

Violent Kisses Watch primitive living. And making mud houses too. Just in case America goes to war , you get tree branches tie them together ; you get mud ; and grass mix it well ; then add it on the branches and you at least got a roof over your head a really great idea 💡 is you gut small logs out ; about 2 feet ; you take that mud ; or ; concrete ; and you just keep adding it until you get the , height you want that’s my idea anyway hope you see that too you’ll enjoy. Primitive living stuff that have lots of PRIMITIVE stuff. It’s very peaceful relaxing 😌 you can build a home for free. FOR FREE. if you lived on the water I bet you could generate your own electricity too , take care beautiful

WOW, that basement is very TALL. Our current house is a 2 story built into the side of our mountain. In the front is our oversized 2 car garage and the other side is our 1 bedroom 1 bath walk out apartment. Our main house is over our garage and the apartment. Our back door on the second floor is also on the ground level because of the mountain. We have an additional upper rear driveway so that when we don’t want to walk upstairs to our living area (house), then we can just go in our back door. The next house we build will be a 1 story so we won’t have to climb up the stairs to get into our house (cabin).

I am redoing my childhood home and don't know a thing about putting a house together. I am thinking 1 month for me. You say 3.5 days for your work crew. I might be able to do it. A least the lower level. I have to rebuild all round it as the foundation has sunk to a 6" cinder block on the right side and a whole one of the left. I see it as an art project. I hope by next summer that the whole front is finished. I have some help from others who have done the electric and water. Water is very easy now days with the pex pipe. About 1,300sq ft. I want to make the bathroom and kitchen bigger and put in a swim pond in the back. I do enjoy your channel.

I own two of those stoves. They new owners will learn you must connect the air intake to the outside in some manner. Its a beautiful stove by Vermont Castings but they don't draft well and if you're using room air like I did in the beginning to find I had to literally have the door open on a crack to get enough air. There's a kit you can buy that permits you to hook 3" gas appliance exhaust hose to the back of the stove so you can plumb it through the wall or floor. It uses a spring tensioned flap on the back of the stove. So you can set it fully opened and as the stove comes up to full temperature the spring slowly closes the intake flap. But drawing from room air is very frustrating
