Yes, Dilip Kumar may be the epitome of "method acting", like Bachchan is, but if you say, "affortless" and "natural" acting, Motilal, Dada Muni and Haribhai (Sanjeev Kumar) come on top, in Hindi cinema! There are respective highlights of unparalleled performances of every top class actors which may be owed to fine script, situations, dialogues, direction etc but when it comes to natural acting flow, you can hardly match Motilal ji. Look at his performances in Paigham, Anadi, Jagte Raho (the song : zindagi khwab hai...) and you would feel whether this man is really playing a charactor!!?? Or he is that man himself. You can see and feel tremendous efforts in Dilip Sahab's and Bachchan's actings and you would really appreciate their performances but looking at Motilal, Dada Muni or Sanjeev Kumar, you would feel that they are making no efforts, that is the real, natural acting! Saying this I hope, I am not lessening the importance of Dilip Kumar or Amitabh Bachchan! They are also unparalleled legends of Indian cinema. 🙏
