Amitabha is the magnetic, savior Buddha. He helps with his charismatic bliss and joy, and his wisdom of discernment to overcome the poisons of attachment and desire.
It is our constant attachment to things, and objects, and money, and ownership and ego that causes suffering in Samsara. With discernment wisdom, the wisdom of Amitabha's Lotus family, we overcome our obsessive clinging to things and ego.
His practice is the magnetizing power of the Buddhas, signified by his body made of red glowing light -- like a beautiful, glowing sunset. Red is the color of magnetizing, the colour of fire and the setting sun of the west, all of which are symbols of Ami tabha.
Orgyen Topgyal Rinpoche explained in a teaching on Red Amitabha's Lotus family:
“The manifestations of the wisdom of discernment are the deities of the lotus family of magnetizing. The magnetizing deities have the power to bring circumstances under control.”
Magnetizing power is the power of charisma, attraction, cooperation, compassion, and loving-kindness. Amitabha's magnetizing power attracts auspicious circumstances, knowledge, good fortune, helpful people, students, business, and prosperity - as long as we are motivated by the cause for Enlightenment for the benefit of all sentient beings. Khenpo Namdro explains:
Magnetizing of Amitabha's Lotus family is “that which brings within one’s power all that appears and all that exists. It goes by such a name because if you make this prayer fervently, you will be able to magnetize or bring within your power the phenomena of the entire universe.”

I have said it before and I’ll say it again. I’m so grateful for your existence. This is a very comprehensive video and it was quite moving. Tears of gratitude and humility rolled down my cheeks. Love the Video! Great content! So, there is only one family left. I dont know much about the Buddha family of Vairochana or was it Samantabhadra or Vajradhara?

Thank you🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏. Yes, Vairochana is left in the center of the Mandala of the Five Dhyani Buddhas. These five Dhyani Buddhas and their Purelands are Sambogakayas (Body of Enjoyment) which is the highest level at which our minds can generally connect and appreciate. Sambhogakayas teach in the Purelands. (Nirmanakayas or Body of Emanation, like Shakyamuni Buddha and Padmasambhava are Buddhas who manifested in our world.) (All these labels and names are for our convenience.) So, the Mandala of the Five Buddhas is a "enjoyment body" not a formless, so we have Vairochana in the center. (Except in some special yidam practices, where the center may be re-assigned for the purpose of that yoga, for example Chakrasamvara practices.) For the Five Cosmic or Pureland Buddhas (from this series we're doing right now), we're describing Sambhogakaya Buddhas. When we talk of Samantabhadra, Vajradhara, Mahavairochana, Vajrasattva (as the ultimate Buddha) these are the Maha or Dharmakaya Cosmic Buddha concepts, or the "ultimate formless" Dharmakaya, even though we do visualize them with colors and shapes to help our minds. 🙏🙏🙏

Great question, and thank you for your kind comments. Here's a beautiful explanation from Sogyal Rinpoche, that describes all five wisdoms and how they inter-relate and how the mandala is like the mind: "You can also think of the nature of mind like a mirror, with five different powers or 'wisdoms.' Its openness and vastness is the wisdom of all-encompassing space (or dharmadhatu), the womb of compassion (Vairochana). Its capacity to reflect in precise detail whatever comes before it (the mirror-like wisdom) (Akshobhya). Its fundamental lack of any bias toward any impression is the equalizing wisdom (or wisdom of equality) (Ratnasambhava). Its ability to distinguish clearly, without confusing in any way the various different phenomena that arise ( the wisdom of discernment)(Amitabha). And its potential of having everything already accomplished, perfected, and spontaneously present is the all-accomplishing wisdom. (Amoghasiddhi)" Much of Vajrayana practice is focused on discernment wisdom -- which is why visualization is a big part of practice. This will be a good topic for a future video, but, as a concise version: Its the ability to distinguish phenomena as it truly is. Our 'clinging to things' starts early, when we're conditioned, maybe as early as our mother picking us up in the crib and we stop crying -- this is pleasurable. We crave the experience (and others we're conditioned to avoid). Amitabha helps us discern true appearances and experiences from the conditioned ones that are manufactured or imagined. Discernment wisdom also reveals that all beings are equal, and have Buddha Nature and deserving of our compassion and love. Perhaps we can explore this more in-depth in future videos.
