Those neighbors are entitled and ignorant. They saw what OP did with it and now that it’s improved, they want it. One cannot “spiritually own a house”, there’s deeds, there’s property taxes, insurance clauses, etc.

They would definitely become spiritual if they tried that nonsense with me.

Story 1: This is one of the most insane reasonings i've ever heard in my life. This a big reasons why "no tresspassing" signs exist and a big reason why people get unalived. This story would've been way different nowadays compared to the 70s... as i know the OP and family would've been installing a ton of cameras. Those neighbours were absolutely insane and im shocked that the OP didn't get any legal action against them, regardless on the fact that the older couple eventually moved and regardless on the cops being hostile back then. Some people really need to get lives. Story 2: Ugh, i hate customers like this and i would've told this lady "all sales are final" when she ordered her sofa. I think she was only complaining to try and get another one for cheaper. Considering how bad this lady was, i would've just walked out and not done anything with her sofa and put her on a blacklist of "do not serve/deliver" in the future. She deserved to have her floorboards get damaged, and she did sign off on everything. Story 3: Wow, that's just awful. That definitely was not a "trade", they stole it, plain and simple. The dad and the kids here are absolute jerks, and i can sure see where the kids get it from. Forget threatening to call the cops, i would've done so anyways. You have them on both theft and destroying private property. While its good the other neighbour helped replace the IronMan toy and charging him on the daycare bill, the OP still needs to get back at this awful dad and his bratty kids. Also, this is an unfortunate lesson for the OP's son, on not to 'share' with other people all the time, because stuff like this will inevitably happen. Not everyone out there is a nice person. Story 4: No way is the OP a jerk here. While i feel bad for Carl on losing his wife, the OP shouldn't be made to give up the bed with the husband and have to sleep on a mattress on the floor. Why didnt they get a room with 2 beds? Or 2 rooms? OP had every right to leave and go home. I would have too, especially since he was brought along last second. If the husband wanted to have Carl along, then he either should've planned things differently, or planned a seperate boys trip for just him and Carl. Story 5: OP is not a jerk at all here, the sister/bride is. Some people just can't (or won't) except that people in their own family can be trans or change their names. Also, what kind of BS is it on the sister saying "he can be Connor any other day except now"? That is just crap and i can totally see why the OP left with Connor and the other siblings. The sister was 100% being a bigot and irrational.

In story 1, all you had to do was blast the movies, HELTER SKELTOR, THE NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET MOVIES, 50 SHADES OF GREY, LEATHER FACE AS WRLL AS THE FULL ALBUM OF ACDC ON FULL VOLUME, let's see just how often she will want her kids there. I have a couple friends whom are BEARS and they would gladly teach these children how good it is to become gay. I don't think they would like that😂

1st story, even if cops back in the day were a little . . . aggressive I would've called them anyways, what those kids did was trespassing and while kids can't be arrested for trespassing the parent can be given a warning for not keeping their children off property that isn't theirs, but since the mother actively encouraged her kids to trespass she could've gotten arrested or at the very least taken to the station for the day, I think people's hesitation to call the cops back then is why the mother and grandmother thought they could harass people like that, OP should've put her foot down the first time and just called the cops
@DarkenVampirDragon-x3u4 ай бұрын
OP should have bought a dog to keep those two brats out, a german shepherd, or a doberman or a rottweiler are good dogs for guarding plus police like dogs. Because they would believe op if she had three guard dogs guarding the property and not a bunch of self entitled spoilt brats.
@alpha-sama4 ай бұрын
Story 1: The entitlement and craziness is on another level. Consider yourself lucky they moved. Story 2: Lol deserved. Don't want to listen to the pros warnings? Then accept the consequenses. Story 3: I can see where these kids learned their bratty behavior. Fortunately, day care lady is the best neighbor ever. Huge W! Story 4: This is straight up guilt tripping. Husband never should have invited Carl without consolting with his wife to begin with. Her reaction was justified. Story 5: With trans people, I believe that everyone has the right to decide for themselves whether or not they want to go along with the trans person's ideology. But even if I don't disagree with the sister's beliefs, she only has herself to blame for this. She deliberately did things knowing it would upset OP and his family, and then acts surprised when things get heated. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

If she is some asswipe who thinks being trans is a mental illness, and on top of that a shitstain who thinks accommodating "mental illness" is pandering she doesn't want to do, then yes, she is a bigot, and the scene is her own fault for inviting them in the first place.

Why is there almost as much commentary as there are stories? I've been willing to give this narrator a chance, but out of all the ones you've tried, I like this one the least. Speaks too slowly, gives overly long personal commentary (without a clear distinction of what is story and what is commentary) and lets personal political bias and social bias and views color the stories far more than is common or reasonable.
@TanookiSuit2 ай бұрын
That last one, the parent is an a jerk not getting the girl the help she needs feeding into that mental illness. I feel sorry for the rough life that kid will get being pacified and enabled instead of properly helped with their issues.
