Always remember, correlation is not causation. Kabhi kabhi aisa lagta hai because DA increase karne ke liye jo backlinks banai jati hai wo temporarily rank ko affect karti hai but jaise hi wo links relevant nahi rah jati hai wo rank bhi chali jati hai.

Last 5 months se dekh raha hu Google kaa update bhi aaya but wo site same as it's ranked hai. Wo mere site kaa competitor hai lekin backlink redirection waali hai aur well ranked hai. Koi bhi article update krte hai wo instantly top 5 me jb ki wo blog sirf 1yrs around old hai.

D.A Dosent effect the ranking of the website directly But it does indirectly. How? D.A is the rating given to a website’s overall off-page SEO . It counts all type of backlinks and gives out a overall score through which we come to know the overall performance which in does effect the ranking of a website and for checking the quality of backlinks there are different tools available. Quality is a variable and the most important factor to keep in mind and is totally dependent upon the SEO expert.

Hi Smith. There is TF, CF and spam score also in moz. So even if DA is high and TF is lower suppose less then 15 then it mean the backlinks are more but not from quality sites. We shall consider DA, PA, TF, CF too which does matter, Also, mostly ranked websites have high DA, TF, CF.
