There’s more to the selling information, and it makes for the best trivia ever. The estate of the original owners sold the house to the Belfords in 1960, and they had an 11 year old daughter, Christine with them. After 5 years, the mom and dad got a divorce and sold the house to the ill-fated DeFeos in 1965, and daughter Christine Belford eventually became a successful actress in the 80’s and 90’s playing Steve Sanders’ mom on Beverly Hills, 90210, and also was in the movie “Christine,” and “The Greatest American Hero.” She’s a very familiar face if you look her up.

@@InvestorsRealEstateWinterPark Real quick...one correction, I just looked her up and her maiden name was "Riley." So it would have been the Rileys, not the Belford's. My bad.

We knew the Cromarty's quite well. Live 2 blocks away from there. Spent a decent amount of time at the house, but never picked up on anything out of the ordinary. They've really renovated it nicely over the years.

When people say that a 100 year old house is old, I’m like naaa. Mates house is 500 years old and the school was built in the 1300s. 100 is normal for where I live!

I was looking at the house recently on Google Maps and street view has that house and several next to it completely blurred. It's such a beautiful house and the renovations have done a great job of freshening up the place. I'd love there in a heartbeat. I personally believe the Lutz family made everything up to get out of living in a house they couldn't afford in the first place. But it blew up more than they expected. The murders were terrible but the killer died in prison. Let the house have an existence not stained with that story.

Google maps is retarded. Not like we can't find it, regardless of address change, window change, new color, blurred map image. Seriously...if you wanna find it , you can and will

The haunting was a hoax. They never unpacked and only stayed for 10 days. They were drug buddies with Butch. It was all staged.

The Cromarty's, who got all butthurt cuz of tourists and such wanting to come see it. They knew what house they were moving in to. Could they be more stupid? They actually thought it'd be peaceful living there??? 🤦

I was wondering the other day about the history of ownership after watching a new documentary on the murders and haunting. I don’t think I’d want to live there. Not because I believe it’s haunted but all the attention. Maybe almost 50 years after it all happened it doesn’t draw as much but still.

It is well known one of the children fell out of a body bag as they were carrying it out of the house. Imagine the trauma in your mind of seeing such a horrid site. Just knowing none of the children's bodies moved from their sleeping positions according to the detectives is bewildering. The Indians who were massacred & tortured in that area were layed in the graves face down. The entire Defeo family was found dead facedown in their beds! Not one neighbor heard the sound of the marlin rifle go off 8 times. A gun & rifle specialist said you can hear a blast from one from at least 3 blocks away, that is about 1 mile. If that is not demonic, then what would you call it. In Ronnie Juniors confession he mentioned he would hear voices in the house & there was nobody there. He said something was moving through me & I couldn't stop. Ronnie Sr. got the house exorcised & all these angelic statues put outside his house. Ronnie Sr. said he had a devil on his back. There is so much more that reveals the great possibility supernatural happenings occurred in this house. All the Lutzes children admitted to a demonic prevalence existing in the home.

You've done your homework. Sadly, some people who do videos on this do not have their facts straight. Many make a joke of it, which I find offensive. I have been facinated in this story since I read the book about it by Jay Hanson when it came out. I was about 12 years old in 1974 when the murders too place. Also went to Ed & Lorraine Warrens lecture in Toledo, Ohio when they came here in late '70's-1980. They were very interesting!

Butch DeFeo told so many lies that I wouldn't have believed him if he had said the sky was blue unless I walked outside to verify it for myself. It's also well documented that the DeFeo defense attorney, George Lutz and Jay Anson all got together & had a "brainstorming session' over several days about the book. Why would Butch's attorney be involved unless he was trying to get material for an appeal for his client? And lastly, the people who bought the house after the Lutz scam happened video taped the inside of the house and the front door to prove that nothing that they had claimed had been destroyed the night of their "escape"...the eye like windows were intact, the original staircase was intact & had not collapsed as was claimed, nor had the original front door been ripped from its hinges as they had claimed. The priest who was supposedly told by a demon to "get out" also said years later that he had NEVER visited the house & had only spoken to George by phone. Truth never changes...only lies get imbellished over time.
