I'm so lazy for amius, really appreciate the guide, i understand him but the fact that he punishes you for having cycle of Magic just makes me mad, i think he is highly overtuned and needs more adjustments but just fixing that would go a long way for me, that mastery is so good anywhere else

It's meant to be a challenge not a trivial 2min run. He annoys me too, just because I always forget what I need to do. But he's meant to be a grind.

@@gkar9757 Challenging and overtuned and frustrating are not the same. I could probably do it if i rebuilt My champs specifically for it but having to manual for that long with all the stupid things he does is too exhausting

Gnut and in fact all enemy max hp champions benefit the least from ascension! A 2 star gnut will do the same damage as a 6 star as max hp hits are capped.

The only the benefits gnut is a soul reap just clear a boss a tiny bit sooner but you're very right here.

Well, you have to hit the cap first. And more stats alleviate the pressure on your gear. Plus the damage reduction you get when hit comes into play. My Gnut is targeted every time by Amius, and, as you could see, he died. If he were 5-star, he'd be much less likely to die.

@ColredPlaysRSL defense based nukers aren't great against amius. My 6 star assended regash dies on the ignore defense hit.

Good luck! Even with a capable comp, sometimes it takes several hours of battles. First time I took him down, I did it in like 15 minutes. Next rotation, it took me like 4 hours. So be patient. You'll get it. 👍

Yes, massive damage can do the trick sometimes, especially in normal mode, which tends to be more forgiving.

Please note, “awakened stars” means you have an awakened skill selected for that champion. You don’t get the bonuses until a skill is selected either.

Hmmm. You bring up a good point. I know you don't get the blessing or stat bonuses until you select a blessing, but I wonder about the effect on the boss passive. If the soul is on your champ, you SHOULD get the damage increase and defense bonus, but I don't actually know for sure. Would be easy to test, I suppose. Thanks for the comment!

@@ColredPlaysRSL IT is easy to test. Just throw a champ in with high stars before and after selecting. I’m about 99% positive a skill needs to be picked. It messed up my shogun team because gnarlhorn (who had high stars) without skill selected. What a difference it makes.

I really appreciate this vid. Tbh Amius is just the 1 boss in all of the game I cannot get my head around. Your vid was great and super informative but I still don’t think I fully grasp how and when to debuff and buff and all that. It’s a melt! 🤣

Yeah, the fight is a tough one to grasp. Tbh, I'm still improving at it. Making these videos actually forces me to better understand the fight. I will say this - if you set aside an hour or two to manually fight this guy, it will begin to make more sense. There's a real rhythm to this fight. You just have to experience it to begin to pick it up. Good luck!

11:35 you can actually time the heal reduction properly! Edit: also missing the information that some masteries can't be used or you have to be carefull of. Any cooldown decrease effects will be punished hard (so also reflex and merciless are tricky) and master hexer and buff extension can also be tricky. Besides that this team will not be able to beat amius hard unless you have very good gear. No rmally your guides and videos are very fun and informative but overall this guide is lacking a bit. I would advice to check out Bronko his channel for Amius content!

Alsoz the normal and hard rotations are DIFFERENT.

The rotations are different, yes, which is a pain. The fight itself is basically the same, though. This guide is focused more on breaking down the boss's skills, etc. than solving any one particular rotation. But I appreciate you calling that out. It's good info for players to be aware of. 🫡

Ash says do the healing reduction after A3, you say after A2. I've also heard conditions on only using it in alt form. Can anyone clarify these two points? I've also got not solution for sleeps. Mithrala and Pythion have resist of 900 and 700 and they are not resisting. So then i can't cleanse and the timing gets to far gone and its over.

Easiest way to beat Amius and most simple is fast champions that hit hard single target if you are using lots of buffs you will lose

@@ColredPlaysRSL I know it’s not realistic for a lot of people especially because soul stone awakenings are just as important I went from getting absolutely slaughtered to beating him once I switched to weaker champs that had high awakenings smh 🤦🏾‍♂️

Ive tried PLENTY of times and have yet to beat him. Watched every guide and video and just dont get it. So I do what i can and forget the boss and stages i cant beat.

That's fair. It's a very tricky fight. Even though I've taken down HM myself, some rotations it sill takes me over an hour to beat him even on Normal mode. Keep at it. Rewatch the videos. Go slowly. You'll learn the fight eventually. And the rewards are solid, plus the satisfaction is just good on it's own too. I wish you luck on the journey!

Where does it say the rotation? Amius blocking decrease speed is a bug, and Plarium knows it but refuses to fix it.

Actually there are alot of bosses that block decrease speed and it doesn't say it in the description

It doesn't say the rotation anywhere, which is annoying. However, Doom Tower didn't use to say either, and now it does, so maybe they'll add that in the future. I had to find out the rotation from the HH website.

The problem is that there are 5 rotations. So him setting up a team for you only helps you on the way for 20% of what you need. Understanding the (very frustrating) mechanics gets you to 100% yourself!

Sorry to hear that. It really does take a lot of tries the first few times. By fighting on manual, you can learn how to tweak your team. Sometimes, it's just a matter of repetition. I know the fight pretty well, at this point, but two rotations ago, it still took me like 2 hours to get my team to work. It's frustrating, but you can do it. Good luck!

fu king rotations..every time i build one champ is not allowed for the next one rotation..and never ever have a decent team to kill him...anyway will tike some time to have all champs for all rotations...

Yeah, that's true. It does take a while. But each rotation lasts a month, which means you get 6 months to flesh out a team composition until this rotation comes back. That's a lot of time. You'll get there!

@@ColredPlaysRSL yes but im f2p and i play ony 1 y and 7 months...and i must also build champs for tag arena to boost my missions ...hydra nightmare team first..so it will take me longer lol
