Little fun fact: In this episode they utilise ingame mechanics into anime very well. As Meteorite mentioned the black ice indeed do one shot ingame, Amiya seems to be using her skill 2 to counter Frostnova's barrage, Frostleaf uses her Lord Guard range to attack far away despite being a melee character. Also the doctor coming in clutch was nice but it shows that their still not totally used to their surroundings yet, plus I feel like it was harder since they couldn't use PRTS due to Frostnova freezing everything in the vicinity.

Also, Amiya's skill 2 stuns her momentarily after use so that's why she fell down momentarily after using it

Fun fact: the song FrostNova sang is actually in game as the mephisto boss fight ost with the difference being in game verion is in russian which makes sense since FrostNova is from Ursus (akrnights version of russia)

As for frostleaf, she also has ice powers but not even close to frostnova. One thing you miss in the anime is a lot of her like, inner monologues during that scene. But the fact that she can disrupt frostnova at all is a big flex of her willpower.

Little explanation Frostnova’s team the yetis caller her Big sister or just sister for reasons we’ll see later on in this season Frostnova is Patriot’s adopted daughter they aren’t related by blood but still care for each other despite their bickering as both are very stubborn Bonus the yeties also refer to patriot as big brother as well in some cases

2:55 Amiya has the power of Empathic Manipulation and/or Emotion Absorption. They dont really talk about this here, maybe in later part of the anime (or next season). 10:05 Frostleaf also has a cold manipulation arts but not to an extent like Frostnova's. She was just disturbing Frostnova's casting there.

Fun fact: if i remember correctly, FrostNova doesn't actually sing on this Chapter in the game. Ch 4-11? If i remember i Haven't touch arknights in the past 6 months. BUT! this song will be relevant in the future. Also fun fact the song is originally Russian with far eastern/Eastern Dialect. (Basically area near Mongolia, to Magadan) Also her skill is stupid, In the game nobody can survive when she's on her 2nd form. Unless you have super tanky or Amiya's 3rd Skill (She become invincible if i remember, but she will retreat from battle afterward)

No I’m Pretty sure that Frostnova did sing and while she was her arts were amplified we just never heard what she was singing

The lullaby itself doesn't play, but she does sing both in story and the music that does play has humming in it. Also her skill one-shots everyone it hits, ignoring all special effects, like invincibility etc.

Jessica is decent operator in-game, but story-wise, she's capable, she just has incredibly low self-esteme and performance anxiety. Frostleaf on the other hand is one of the worst 4 stars in the game, but man, everything else about her is so cool. And yes. It's implied in story at this point that she's singing, but at the time we only got her humming and while the full song (in russian) appears later with different character that's related to FrostNova, the song that does play during her stage do have humming in it, so it's implied she does sing Lullaby when fighting.

Just fyi, frostnova black ice attack in game is a guaranteed one hit one kill attack and it hit multiple target at once like in this episode. She is one of the 2 or 3 bosses that has those 1 shot attack in game. Not even Talulah has a 1 shot attack in game btw. Also, frostleef literally got frozen over, that's why she can't move.
