Hi Nader Haq, Your surgeon can prescribe this to you after surgery, but I usually prescribe an antibiotic ointment for only the first 2 days after surgery to prevent an allergic reaction from overuse, then a petrolatum-based ointment after the first 2 days to promote healing. I hope this clarifies things for you.
