What a sweet woman. And you sir are a very compassionate and kind interviewer. I hope there are good things in store for you both in 2025.

What are beautiful and well spoken woman. Hearing addicts stories makes me realize that these addictions seem generational. Heredity based. So sad because they are intelligent and have so much to offer. If only they could see this in themselves. Also, people making comments should be encouraging not discouraging. God Bless them and strength to them all.

I agree! I went through treatment 4 times, and I thought I was a lost cause because it didn’t help me. When I was court ordered to treatment again, I went into it no hope. Then, I met my counselor and saw how active and motivated her group was. She was a counselor in recovery from street substances, just like me. The experience, eventually, convinced me I do have positive qualities and things I could still be good at, in life. It was such a different message than I’d heard from anyone, in a long time. I realized people are not our problems, and we all deserve respect and compassionate care. I realized that not everyone has this operating assumption, or a deep understanding of what it means, so I had something to offer the world. I decided to be there for others who are beginning their recovery journey, like my counselor and some of the people in treatment were, for me. I would not have had that experience, if I hadn’t run into a woman from a treatment program we both “failed,” who told me where to go. I had begged my PO to let me choose my placement, over the one they assigned me. He said that assignment is just for people who aren’t able to be involved in their recovery, and was happy to encourage active participation, through my interest in making decisions about my care. You also don’t have to accept any medication you think won’t help you! If you’re ordered to comply with medical and mental health treatment, that means that they just expect you to fall through with anything you agree to have on your treatment plan, as a part of that. You may have to complete substance use disorder treatment and see a mental health professional, but you don’t have to take medication unless you’re committed. Part of my mission to help people recover is to make sure they’re aware of their rights. If you have a substance use disorder or mental illness or both, you are a health care consumer and you have a right to make choices about your care! I hope this lady gets help to recover and get control of her life! She has a lot going for her, inside, and deserves a better life! She’s intelligent, beautiful, and has a good heart. ❤. I believe in her ability to recover! Thanks for your compassion. It’s much needed!

How can you drop out of 9th grade but gets accepted to Penn State a few months later? She’s also a nurse and an engineer. What bs. Hope you get sober.

@MartaLinckКүн бұрын
Yeah. That doesn’t make sense to me. You don’t go from 8th grade to college. That’s BS. I do wish her the best and hope she gets sober and has a great life.

Mona, yes, that doesn’t sound legitimate, most (not all) addicts lie about everything, and lie to themselves, I’m not judging, but this much is true. Who knows?

We abandon ourselves for love and men, because that’s what our parents taught us. They didn’t teach us that we were valuable and worthy of respect and to choose our own needs first. So we end up repeating this and put others before ourselves and it comes with hugh amounts of pain that can feel like you want to die. You want to self-soothe. It took me 35 years to break free from. Wish her all the best

If I could do one thing over, I would not worry about a relationship until I had a career doing something I like doing every day, with job security and, at the very least, first and last month’s rent plus deposit and a few months of living expenses put away. Then, I would have never been trapped, abused, or exploited. Girls and women, we are worth it! People may like you and want you, but it’s not common to find someone who will truly support you in reaching your goals in life. They often expect you to be there to help them reach their goals, and won’t do the same for you or be there for you if you get sick or injured.

She looks so good to be 38! 😍
@billj45252 күн бұрын
She definitely looks old for only being 38, at least compared to an average person, but compared to most people in Kensington who are homeless and do drugs she looks really good, and would look even better if she got clean. She seems to have a good head on her shoulders too. She can definitely get clean and live a happy positive life.

Of course they blame everyone but themselves.. A beautiful looking girl. How could she get into that life of addiction. Look in the mirror at yourself. A man who tried to get his woman into drugs is No Man. He's a coward. A gorgeous looking beautiful young lady. Young lady go to rehab and find a good man. You deserve a good man Stop getting together with ds losers..

Go to treatment, lose the boyfriend, and get counselling for all the grief. The latter is no joke. It can make you physically sick and it's even worse than withdrawing. When you are withdrawing you can get instantly get well with a hit. Grief can take many years to ease off. I would not wish the feeling of grief on my worst enemy. God bless you Mal.

She dropped out in 8th grade, than proceeded to attend Penn State, become a nurse and an engineer, hmm, something isn’t adding up here, I dunno what, but, addicts tell tall tales, I cannot say the L word, so I’ll go with that. Who really knows, perhaps she did all of that, best of luck unto her.

Dear Elena. Sorry about your losses, your uncle and father. They are both in Heaven, looking down on you . If u reach out for help, go to hospital for detox, u can begin to become the lady they, and you, always wanted to be.They would be very proud of u. Come back to other side, amongst us happy recovering addicts. I can c u would quickly be able to do a professional job of some sort. Ur still attractive and intelligent. Ur luckily didn't marry that user of u. Nice warm safe hospital.
