Ammar Nakshawani insults Umar ibn al-Khattab

The prominent Shia lecturer Ammar Nakshawani insulted the companion of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and second khalifa Umar ibn al-Khattab (ra) during a recent appearance on Safeer TV.

@@MediRen According to usool al-kafi, the shia apply taqiyyah when dealing with sunnis as well. They have a narration in which it says taqiyyah is 9/10 of the religion. In regular Sunni Islam, we don't have the term taqiyyah. You have the choice to conceal your religion if you feel it will be a serious risk if your religious Identity is made apparent.

Well, we all start out ignorant. That is the journey of our individual souls. Asking questions means the person wants to become illuminated and is seeking a removal of the veils of ignorance. I think we need to also acknowledge the amount of arrogance that is portrayed in Ammar's answer. It is so off putting that he still needs to do shadow work in that respect. We all need to when it comes to spiritual arrogance and spiritual bypassing. Probably the best way to learn is to find a humble teacher, a genuine one. I'm seeking that myself.

I actually don't know about the second hadith but the first one I have heard of something similar to it since I was young, but that Shia guy manipluated it to fit his narrative. The Hadith is about Umar(r.a) being fierce with a strong stance and no nonsense approach especially when it comes to matters petaining Islam. Here this one of the hadith that is similar. Once `Umar asked leave to see Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) in whose company there were some Quraishi women who were talking to him and asking him for more financial support raising their voices. When `Umar asked permission to enter, the women got up (quickly) hurrying to the screen. When Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) admitted `Umar, Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) was smiling, `Umar asked, “O Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)! May Allah keep you in happiness always.” Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “I am astonished at these women who were with me. As soon as they heard your voice, they hastened to the screen.” `Umar said, “O Allah’s Apostle! You have more right to be feared by them.” Then he addressed (those women) saying, “O enemies of your own souls! Do you fear me and not Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) ?” They replied. “Yes, for you are a harsh and fierce man as compared with Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ).” On that Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said (to `Umar), “By Him in Whose Hands my life is, whenever Satan sees you taking a path, he follows a path other than yours.”
