The Sealed Nector (Seerah - It will teach you about the life of our beloved prophet) Tafsir As-Sadi (Tafsir - It is an explanation of the Quran in simple plain words it gives you context and explanation and it is a basic book the author who wrote it Imam As-Sadi May allah have mercy on him have written many beautiful works - THE TREE OF FAITH I recommend that as well) Bulugh Al- Maram and Al-Adab-Al-Mufrad AND Riyad as saliheen with the explaination of Imam Ibn Uthaymeen Rahimuallah [ These books are books of Ahadith for beginners like us] Fiqh us-Sunnah by As-Sayyid Sabiq [ It is book of jurisprudence its teach you many things which a muslim must do] Kitab At-Tawhid and Kashf Al-Shubuhat and Thalathat Al-Usul and and Al-`Aqidah Al-Wasitiyyah with explantions [ These books are creed books. Having a correct creed [Aqidah] it most important for a muslim] and if you want to learn more about history of early muslims you can read books by Dr. Ali Muhammad Sallabi.

This is ofcourse not to say everything has to be taken metaphorically. But question from where you stand an alternative interpretation to certain things that make so much more sense. Such as how Adam and Eve really came about as not being the first human beings (as proven by history and science). Miracles and events have been explained by the Ahmadiyya community in literature of the Messiah and Caliphs as well as other scholars in light of the laws of nature, the nature of God, science and of course Quran and Hadith
