This build idea is pretty sick, i love the power button. Being a former soldier and pc gamer, i can really appreciate it. Cool build!!!

Dang this is just too cool, I love these kind of builds you do! Btw, I think those two lighter blue ports on the ecs mobo are serial ports and you can run the fan at 7v or 5v by using a molex mod making it a lot quieter
@ANF_948 жыл бұрын
Would a 120mm fan fit to the size of the PSU above the wires? If so maybe an intake fan on that side then exhaust out the back?
@RetroTech1008 жыл бұрын
Can be hard to find ammo boxes in England. Have to go to the Army Surplus so the box would actually used by the Army which is cool.
@AfroKreamy8 жыл бұрын
can you do a vid on the temps. I feel like it has to get super hot in that thing. Do you have the fan blowing in or out?
@elmoxtv4398 жыл бұрын
So you have 1 fan that is exhaust/intake, but where will the air exit/intake? It's pretty much sealed otherwise.

i have a couple of these ammo boxes laying around the house and i really want to do this with a modern mid range build! (but unfortunately power tools scare me and RAM and GPU prices are really high right now was also going to re-paint it and make custom decals that show the specs of the PC

@bocty18 жыл бұрын
+Toasty Bros great vid, you need to start using the makita 18v jigsaw instead of the dremel. You get much more of a cleaner cut as well as doing more intericate cuts and you don't run the risk of it running off like it did on the ammo box. It really helping me doing my itx ammo box

But does it have stand offs? because it can cause electrical damage to the board.

This is a cool build. Using masking tape is a great idea for cutting the holes, but drilling a hole and using a jigsaw with a metal blade would be much easier and cleaner than using a Dremel for the larger holes :) Clean up the edges with a small file. Looking forward to seeing how this little PC performs

i had seen a build like this on pcpartpicker a while back did you get the idea from there?
@dacryon37558 жыл бұрын
I would have taken the motherboard and turned it 90 degrees right to have the gpu face up and have a custom plate put in there with filters so you didnt have to ruin the water tight seal. It would also make it nice because you could have made an area or built the cables in so you just have to carry the can and a monitor and thats it.

good idea but i think you could have did better like bullet button better position eg. ammo belt out the box with the bullet switch on the belt dirty up the box to make it look battle worn drill out the fan like grated holes instead of cutting it out add some ammo shells on the top of the box then some leds as you mentioned be cool to see that :D

Straight up: Those "VGA In" look a whole lot like Serial ports for mouse and keyboard, which that is just... *_ANCIENT_* technology.
@LuisCaneSec8 жыл бұрын
They're still used for connecting to the console ports on higher end networking equipment like routers and switches. The cable will have the serial connection (DB9) on one end and RJ45 (ethernet) on the other side.
