Ammo Review | Magtech Steel Case 9mm Ammo

I fired and tested this ammunition and found it to be very reliable, clean and affordable without being cheap.
I will do one or two competitions with it to see how it performs under rapid fire but from what I've seen I think I will be ordering more of this
Magtech has always had great quality ammunition in their brass lines and this Steel case ammo didn't disappoint.

I shoot indoors all the time. Even the range i go to sells this stuff. Most rso know about it by now. I've never had an issue

The Magtech steel cases are zinc plated, just like Russian Silver Bear. I never had an issue with any steel cased ammo whether it was lacquer coated, copper plated, zinc plated or polymer coated. I'm sure the Magtech will be good ammo.

Only issue i have ever had with russian lackered or uncoated steel cases is them getting stuck in double stacked magazines. Never an issue on single stacks or ar platform.

Magtech said this is the exact same as their brass cased 115 fmj, except polished stainless case. Same projectile, same primer, same powder. I just bought some of these and I am glad the projectiles are not bi-metal. Lead and copper is easy on the rifling. Even though pistol barrels can take over 100,000 rounds

In my experience the russian - Ukraine steal cass ammo works just fine shot thousands of rounds of it and remember when it was $130 a thousand rounds.

My experience also. Been shooting Russian & Chinese steel cased ammo in competition since the mid 90s. Always worked. Barnaul was definitely my favorite.

I have also shot thousands of rifle .223 steel cased RU ammo (varnished and not). The one's I've always had issues is the 9mm tulammo. it would not allow me to run my CZ magazines at full capacity because the rounds would stick together and not feed. But as far as the rounds firing, yeah, it works. To me was just annoying not to be able to put all 21 rounds in a mag.

only one I've ever had issues with was 9mm tula so I won't buy that anymore. but none of the rifle ammo like .223 or other calibers (which I still buy) are bad. I've shot thousands of steel cased .223 in my AR from various RU makers and its all good. So my comment was about my experience with the 9mm steel cased.

LMAO, you cant be more wrong. I've run1000's of all calibers of RU steel case - ZERO problems. Maybe you your weapons were as clean as your workbench?

Well, I appreciate your comment. Yes, my work bench is a bit of a mess. The only issues I've ever had with RU ammo is with varnished 9mm, which didn't do well in my cz shadow 2 magazines (couldn't load all 17 rounds) but as long as I only loaded less than 10 it ran flawlesly. All .223 I've never had an issue. But me personally, I won't be buying more of that varnished stuff. I just liked these magtech rounds.

Bro, honestly, I've put almost 600 rounds of the Magtech ammo through it. It's actually nickel-plated and burns cleanly. The only thing I get is some sparks out of the barrel, but performance-wise, they are great.
