The Atlantic Wall sure holds many German WW2 secrets. I bet there is so much more to be discovered. Good for EE testing and trying out things. That's how he learns. He seems to be fairly aware of dangers. You taught him well Dad. Imagine the amount of hours involved designing and building that humongous Ammunition Bunker. It is so well constructed I can't help but think it could still be used for something. That one room did look like it might have housed a generator. Definitely a BEAST of a Bunker. Thanks EE & HH. Stay safe.

Such a massive munition store, and love the way it's still mostly untouched by the graffiti mobsters (mostly). Listening to your voices echo through those chambers, sparks the imagination as to how loud and noisy that bunker would have been, back when it was alive. With the little train clanking along the tracks, and the shouts and orders of the NCO's being echoed through the doors, and the men chatting amongst themselves, all backed by the noise and sounds of the air being pushed through the ventilation system. It would have been deafening to a newcomer. Such a fascinating and amazing place. It was definitely worth seeing. Thank you for sharing this with us. Cheers to you all. Stay safe and well!

Wowzer, one could get lost in that massive Ammo Bunker. It was extremely well made so sturdy with thick halls (thicker than EE) and heavy duty doors. I am thinking that they used diesel for most of their equipment and the narrow railroad tracks. It looks like maybe the community is trying to preserve this WW2 artifact as I see some of the graffiti was painted over and parts reattached. A shame there is some flooding. Extremely interesting. Thank you for taking us there EE and HH.

Honestly you would think something like that would have a much thicker door to the opening than roughly 30mm.
@WW2HistoryHunter2 жыл бұрын
Well i read that they had railroad sleepers as well around to protect it even more and tons of camo webbing around so it was pretty difficult to spot from the air. Also there was a function of having the door like that in either end. Pressure from a bomb at one end would simply just travel first along the hallway and out the other end then into the seperate storage rooms..Thanks for watching.

I'm often taken back to my military days and the hardened structures I worked in and around. One questions, what did people of the time think seeing munition convoys rolling through. I’ve noticed in your videos that if you look at the size of the ventilation openings on the exterior of the bunkers, you can determine if it’s a large bunker or not. I could be wrong on that. I understand the steel doors protecting the munitions inside the bunker but I wonder how well the doors and walls would contain an explosion inside these rooms? I would enjoy spray painting the individuals who vandalized history with their graffiti. Nice to see all the doors still there.

Your so very welcome bought you and Eagleeye :-) (cool nickname) sometime you should come to Denmark and see our remnants from ww2. We have lately found a western wall ring and other funny things. Today a ironpart, but don’t know if its ww2 or later. Its grey and have some unclear numbers.

I love your explorations and the absolute passion you guys have is inspirational. I, like most other people I presume, hate the unappreciative idiots who spray graffiti on these historical sites. Keep up the good work and we will keep following your adventures. Thank you. 👍🕺
