Thank you again for this adventure. The site was so clean [ no graffiti painted and kept clean, even cots set up as the soldiers would have had them ] It was a good rendition of the fortress as it was in the 1940's.. Thank you both and now be careful, safe, and be healthy.

That 15 cm gun position was very interesting. It looked like the exterior of the gun was well taken care of (painted) by someone. Too bad the interior was locked so you could not access it. It is cool that the second one was open! The views from so many of these sites are awesome. Camo paint on the concrete still in existence is surprising. Seeing the bunk room layout after talking about it many times is very cool. This was a great video with a lot of interesting items! Stay safe and stay well!

Kudos to all the people involved in maintaining this spectacular place. To see some quite rare, original fittings still there, was just amazing The camouflage netting framework, on the gun bunker, with the railway track ground pins, the super rare, wooden spent shell bins, the bunk beds still hanging from the ceiling of that bunker, and the guns in almost original condition, AND, still turning. Truly incredible. And just loved seeing the original camouflage painting in the stair wells of the crew bunker, with no graffiti or anything to spoil it. The paint would help keep any light reflections to a minimum at night. Thanks to you both for bring thing stunning site to us. Cheers to you both. Looking forward to Part 3!

The formwork needed to make these bunkers always impresses me. It would be fascinating to see these structures when they were being built. The other consideration is for the people who built them, all construction on this scale is dangerous and many people must have perished regardless of wether it was forced labour or a team of German workers. Conditions in the bunker when the gun was in use must have been horrendous.

Wow, a 6" Navel Rifle. That is no popgun. I also believe that the round holes in the wall were for the powder charges. They put in the shell, then put the powder in the brass case. put that into the chamber and then fire the gun. Pull the shell out and start over. Since they have two rails & two powder racks, they should be able to fire either 8 or 10 rounds per minute depending on how many people they have working behind the gun.

Hello HH & EE. Another phenomenal German WW2 defensive position. Again so well constructed and laid out, complete with the camouflage netting and paint. Very impressive. The Germans were so advanced. Right, you are EE, that was a big 15 cm gun. I know EE is tall for his age, but soldier's bunks did seem a bit short. Maybe they installed the bare minimum. NO, don't leave Hans behind!! Wonderful to see everything still in good shape so history buffs can check them out. Thanks so much for your support, HH. Yes, do watch your head. No head injuries needed. 😂 Thanks so much for taking us there EE & HH. Keep smiling 😊.

@@WW2HistoryHunter I really wish I could be there I luv this stuff your doing. It's great you take the time to give the world and your kids this history it's so much better to see these places first hand and not just read about them in books. I wish I had the extra money to send you but living on a fixed income makes it impossible for me to. So my application for what your doing is all I have to give. So please keep up the great job of showing these places Thank you Gary Hill

Well done both of you, so glad that you still have all the artifacts from a time when them and us had our different versions of what we thought was right? What do you think was right? Not now but then? We all lost lots of everything and I mean everything! The way it is now I'm thinking he should have had it ,because freedom has been absolutely abused, and borders have been broken in the name of freedom. Sorry from England 😊

I think today we need AH and WC back for some normality and what needs to be what! It seems the ones in charge now haven't got a clue about any clue there ever was! (Clueless) I guess. Here in England we are being invaded by more people than the German's was sending over and know one cares ! What was it all for? Love to all of you. You are probably in the same place (shite) as we are.what do you think of the spitfire? Xx
