Me and my dad went to a KORN concert when I was 10 and we happened to see Jonathan Davis walking into the building. We stopped him and asked if we could get a picture. The security guard said “No pictures “ and Jonathan said “Yeah no problem, I love kids.” It changed my life to see how respectful some artist can be. He was bullied when he was a kid and respect is something that shines through the man. I have that very picture hung up in my room now.

A Serbian Film/Srpski Film was definitely another sick one. Lol!!! It's hard to find the unrated version though. Many online movies will claim it's the unedited version, but they're usually just lying for views.

Him, David Bowie, Deftones, Trent Reznor and Marilyn Manson and their music got me through some very tough moments in my life (including depression and substance abuse). If it wasn't for their music, I would had not had the courage to take my life back. I'm saddened to hear about his recent loss. Hope he's doing well and that he will put out some new Korn stuff soon. Actually, there are several scientific studies that shows that our musical tastes don't change much after the age of 14 and completely dropping off in our mid-20's. So, what did you like in your teens? Do you still like it, or do you think it's garbage now? I can actually say the albums that I first heard in my pre-teens to middle teens are still some of my albums of all time.
@JaimieRain

I was pleasantly suprised by his music taste. Being the adidas clad singer of screamy nu-metal his tastes are somehow totally goth, I love all those albums he picked out, it does kinda show through at some parts where KoRn does sound slightly etheral/atmopheric in the background, particularly with his background vocals etc..

@@McSaggerson check out "the hating" and "black is the soul." In my opinion that album is much closer to their old sound. They still have some keyboard sounds but it's in the background. The album has many heavy guitar driven songs.

As I've grown my taste in music has changed, so I think Korn is not my favorite band. But in a sense they are my favorite band because they're my first metal band that I fell in love with. Its Korn and Jon up until about 10 years ago that I grew up with and fully understood and helped me through my deepest moments of depression. I will always listen and will always listen to these old school sounds. Thankyou Jon for being your true you with your emotion and being real and giving to the world. Such love and passion! Peace!

I’ve never been a fan of Korn, I’m more into free jazz and black metal but Jonathan Davis always seems to consistently be such a lovely man and a total nerd, it’s wonderful to see him get so excited about things I also like. It’s sad about his wife, particularly as they were getting divorced or one of them had at least filed for it, I hope he’s surrounded by a lot of love. I’m sure he is, poor fella.

Agreed completely. They are unlike anything else that came before them, and anything else that came after. It's funny, it seems that everyone I know that likes DCD almost came upon them by accident like you (and me.) I happened to have a Paul Oakenfold CD back in the day that had a remix of "The Host of Seraphim" on it... Lisa Gerrard's voice so enraptured me that I just had to find more... low and behold she had her own band with their own library of music. About as close to a life changing moment musically as I've ever had, I think.

I almost want to say that Jonathan Davis and I have nearly the same taste in music. Christian Death has some excellent music, I love DCD, NIN's The Downward Spiral has been one of my favorite albums since I was 15 (I bought the deluxe edition digitally, it was the literally one of the first albums I bought), Peter Gabriel is great and Korn is my favorite nu-metal band. I don't blame him for buying his own music, I think artists should be able to appreciate their own music as much as the music of others, because if not what's the point of making that art? Respect to Jonathan for great taste in music.
