Me and my dad went to a KORN concert when I was 10 and we happened to see Jonathan Davis walking into the building. We stopped him and asked if we could get a picture. The security guard said “No pictures “ and Jonathan said “Yeah no problem, I love kids.” It changed my life to see how respectful some artist can be. He was bullied when he was a kid and respect is something that shines through the man. I have that very picture hung up in my room now.

Him, David Bowie, Deftones, Trent Reznor and Marilyn Manson and their music got me through some very tough moments in my life (including depression and substance abuse). As I've grown my taste in music has changed, so I think Korn is not my favorite band. But in a sense they are my favorite band because they're my first metal band that I fell in love with. Its Korn and Jon up until about 10 years ago that I grew up with and fully understood and helped me through my deepest moments of depression. It's funny, it seems that everyone I know that likes DCD almost came upon them by accident like you (and me.) Lisa Gerrard's voice so enraptured me that I just had to find more... low and behold she had her own band with their own library of music. I almost want to say that Jonathan Davis and I have nearly the same taste in music. Christian Death has some excellent music, I love DCD, NIN's The Downward Spiral has been one of my favorite albums since I was 15 (I bought the deluxe edition digitally, it was the literally one of the first albums I bought), Peter Gabriel is great and Korn is my favorite nu-metal band. I don't blame him for buying his own music, I think artists should be able to appreciate their own music as much as the music of others, because if not what's the point of making that art? Respect to Jonathan for great taste in music.

I really love his voice, from the self titled to the latest, it almost sounds like he's a teenager in a grown man's body, no offense. He looks like 35+ and his voice sounds like a teen. I really love korn, the sound of the instruments and Jonathans voice is so emotional and terrifying in some tracks.
