One of my favorite episodes of this show, by far. Their knowledge and advocacy of what influenced them is excellent, and I quite enjoy the seeming leitmotif of seminal Canadian bands that Canada chooses to ignore. In that same spirit, I feel that Americans often overlook this incredibly sharp and tuneful band. They carry within them all the great germs of the music they admire: urgency, angularity, ambitious songs in a tight pop format, emotion in the face of machinery.

This is one of the best episodes I've seen. I've literally never listened to these guys but they clearly have a deep love and knowledge of music (and also impeccable taste). And you can tell its genuine, they're not just trying to name drop obscure bands. They're passionate about it

It's really nice to hear the influences of Dan's choices on his work with Wolf Parade and Handsome Furs, especially with John Foxx and Skinny Puppy. It's also great to see both of them rep the under-appreciated musical acts of Canada.
