Sounds of American Doomsday Cults is a phenomenal collection. Was introduced to it by the legendary staff at Aquarius Records in San Francisco way back in the day. Anyone seeking a cultural/ anthropological document of true-blue American paranoia and mistrust should not miss it. Right up there with The Conet Project as a true oddity of passion.

The Nightfly is a brilliant album. I was nine years old, and my first oldest brother who was about 27 or 28 at that time brought that home. I remember vividly, it was right after it came out. That album cover influenced me and I still have that original pressing. Brought up around a lot, and I mean a lot of music. They shouldn't laugh. Steely Dan is freaking brilliant. Jazz Infused Beatnick bliss. LOVE all Steely Dan's albums. Deacon Blues, oh man, since the day my brother brought Aja home, Deacon Blues resonated with me. Yes, when I was four years old that song would get played through the Rotel system in the living room, and still to this day it is one of my favourite songs. Dry Cleaning, I got introduced to your music about ten months ago. Dig it a lot!. 🍻

Fun video, love the band and their picks. Not sure who needs to hear this at Amoeba - you need a wider lens mate. You're trying to do camera A too close with that lens, I can tell you're struggling to get the talent and their item both in shot, therefore much of the time you cut off both. You're also too close for the minimum focal length for that lens, often the talent are out of focus. If you're dealing with tight little spaces in a record store I recommend getting something like a 16-35mm zoom lens for that camera A shot, give yourself room to move. Then you can stay tigher on that side shot (camera B). Also the wobble on camera A looks to me like you're using a monopod which is making life hard for you. I could be wrong, but if so I'd recommend ditching it and practising hand-held more. Friendly advice, take it or leave it.
