Amon Amarth make me listen to metal again after 2 decades. They give me life.
@johnwesley4928 жыл бұрын
I hear ya. My introduction to melodeath was a long journey, and looking back on it, I can see each step of the transitions in my musical taste, from trance all the way to metal. Metal was just starting to feel a bit stale to me when I first heard this song, and I was instantly reminded of everything I love about this genre. I think there's something that people who've never really tried to experience this music is missing. There is intense emotion in every syllable, every thrum of the guitar strings, every beat of the drums. The growling, then the yelling, tells it's own story of the building passion that goes into every track. Such emotion and passion as cannot be contained is all expelles in the course of a single track. Melodeath for life!
@billonious8 жыл бұрын
John Wesley Dude, that is. I feel you. Like you, I start finding metal boring in the middle 90's (I remember the last bands I really liked were Paradise Lost and Skyclad), and gradually gave it up for trance/goa/techno/electro and such.

He gets shit on (rightfully so, they were all tired of his shit.) crashes their party and calls them out for their shit (again, rightfully so.) so they tie him up in a cave and drip snake venom on him until he breaks free thanks to Surtur ( I think). So here is Loki, fresh out of an eternity of torture, full of hate and looking for vengeance. He probably would not be thinking much past kill them all!

Its because they are melodic. Some metal artists sacrifice a melodic sound for a more technical approach.
@vapotrini7 жыл бұрын
Lol that's all that counts though. How you feel from what you're hearing. They're surely more talented musicians out there of course, but that means pretty much close to nothing when talking about making music if people don't find it enjoyable. See: Yngwie Malmsteen. Can you name even 1 band as consistent as AA who you'd consider superior melodically? Not gonna happen.
