considering JRR Tolkien was a professor of Anglo-Saxon literature, saved Beowulf manuscripts from being destroyed in England, and basically alot of the names are closer to Scandinavian names than what people think. And the storyline has more resemblance to. Nordic mythology than his so-called fiction. I would say it's already been mixed in many ways. I seem to notice that Sauron, Mordor, and Surtur and the mountain of doom of Amon Amarth seem similar. Tolkien wasnt stupid paralleling the mythology and a newer version together. I remember looking up Norse male names, and gimli among others from the trilogy showed up.
