Sorry for both of your losses. I used to have many fake friends once upon a time. Now I surround myself with my family, who I'd die for, and I know they won't be there forever. I also have a few friends now who I know I can trust. Who aren't fake and won't speak ill to others behind my back. Those are people that I love and that I care for. And I know what loss feels like. I was 11 when my first grandfather died, and even though I was fortunate to have him that long, I still miss him very often. Now, as an adult, I wish I could talk to them just one more time, like a grown up. What comforts me is that even though I'm not a Christian in my heart, nor can I say I believe in Valhalla, I know they're somewhere, waiting for us! ❤ Now, first atheist who comes to this comment and decides to try and convince me that there is nothing after death, no gods, and life is pointless, don't waste your breath or your time.
