Went to see this show by myself in Denver. I couldn't' get anyone to go with me (no one I knew was aware of Amon's music). I didn't do any drugs, just had a few drinks. The show blew me away. Absolutely fantastic.

@@greenderp Yeah for years Tobin had been like "fuck the visuals it's all about the sound system" so when we heard he was doing something with both we went along. We had literally no idea what to expect. Everyone game out of the gig and were stood around outside just marvelling at what they'd seen. Was one of the best nights out of my life

ISAM has inspired me in so many ways. Not just with soundscape but visuals, timing, scale, storytelling. Plus so much more. It is pure genius!

This was by far the greatest show I have ever been to. Only topped by the ISAM 2.0 tour. Truly this was the beginning of a lot of the big visual audio shows we see today in electronic music culture. Amon Tobin showed everyone the groundwork on how to put on a truly epic music journey that we still see today.

I was lucky enough o catch this 3 times actually in NYC Btwn 1 and 2.0. I can confirm live is an entirely new level, especially in surround, whoa.. Brought my stuck up gf 3rd time and literally freaked out and called her mom in Europe at like 5 am to tell her mom about it lol.

I agree entirely. I love Beethoven and Mahler and I think this follows in the same tradition. You keep the audience with you by giving them something repetitive and familiar to hang on to, and then make it as wild as your imagination and technology allow, expressing things about the human condition that can't be said with words. It's a fucking masterpiece!
