I wouldn’t worry too much about the scale being off in minor areas with such a surreal animation. Even pixar ran into and produced full movies with similar problems only to realize them in hindsight. Be glad that you noticed something that helps you grow and try new things and be happy that everything you did here works brilliantly even where unintended. Happy accidents as they say. Very interesting stuff.

I always love to see a peek behind the curtain, but I LOVE LOVE this.

whether intentional or not, the unreal scale of the water splashes only adds to the surrealist vibe of the overall visuals

Things like the scale being off with the water really adds a sense of style though. Sure it would be nice to have it look ultra realistic by carefully measuring each parameter, but I would argue it would appear as visually fun.

So let me get this straight. The song Long Down is by Only Child Tyrant (who is actually Amon Tobin.) And the video for the song Long Down was made by Shy1 (who is actually Amon Tobin). Is good art just Amon Tobins all the way down or what?

The Solver takes around 30 seconds to determine optimal research configuration for this environment, then heads off to explore shape and form. It seems curious of the water form at 0:40. So many questions arise for me: for example, is the small Solver an offshoot probe of the orbital Solver, reporting completion of survey by taking the cross-like form on the bridge to indicate transmission of discovery data? Amazing sound and visual storytelling.
