I got a scenario idea for you. What about ice fog like it starts out as fog, then freezing rain, then it starts to stick to everything so much and so fast it freezes people and animals that are outside. Then traps people inside cars, trains, houses. The ice blocks vents on power plants causing meltdowns and power outages. Just a thought. I can get more detailed if you want.

Dude you make the coolest EAS scenarios, I love the story telling and use of EAS as a tool to tell horror stories. I used to work at a radio station a few years ago in college. Our EAS alerts came through a printer on paper. Maybe you can make a scenario with printed EAS alerts at a radio station..
