Instead of “death reporting stations”, dead players should just place their head on the ground. Just give each player their own head before the game starts. This means that several players can be dead, but when one body is found and a meeting called, it’s possible to tell who’s body was found which means players can deduce who was last seen with the deceased. When reporting a body the player should pick up the head of the deceased, and place it in a near by barrel (no light). This will act as a “report” button. Now, give each player a piece of paper with their name on it. When pressing the “meeting” button (a different system from the report), the player has to drop their paper into a barrel before they can press the button. This avoids multiple meetings by one player and differentiates “meetings” from “reports”

Here’s a really stupid idea: Hide a wither under the map in a blastproof chamber, name it “Tasks Completed”, and use arrow dispensers or TNT to kill it as tasks are completed. There’s your task bar.

while that sounds pretty cool, I am pretty sure the Wither's close range blast is able to break every block except for bedrock, so it'd be pretty difficult to trap one and keep it there without access to creative mode

That could work, and would actually be pretty funny. There are ways of making inescapable wither chambers in survival without bedrock, however it would have to be manually resummoned each match, and I think it's just too much to ask for that it won't escape and destroy everything. Also, I think the wither has regeneration.

That would also mean that if the Impostor shoots them the totem will get used, meaning they'd have to get hit twice, and if an emergency meeting is called, they'd die anyway. This is assuming the players will hold the Totem at all times, and why wouldn't they? The meeting would kill everyone otherwise, and there is no way for the other players to know when the meeting will be called.

Maybe you can rename some of the areas and tasks after Hermits' names as easter eggs! The redstone section can be called Etho's Lab, in honour of his achievements in Decked Out. A task that has something to do with bread or wheat could be called grain, a task where you put beef somewhere and wait for it to rot (kinda like the medbay vial task in among us) could be called vintagebeef (it's a bit of a stretch, i know), the mountainous area could potentially be called Joe Hills, maybe there's a task where you have to pretend to dye slime blue (by throwing in blue dye) which could be named after Jevin... stuff like that could be fun.

You should make bubblevators in the middel with trapdoors on top. Every player should throw an enderpearl in it. Then if someone presses the emergency button everyone gets teleported.

Maybe the imposters get "fake completion" items that reset the task but don't add to the tasks completed counter.

This would be a lot of work, but you could make a "light switch" button, where the imposter clicks it, and pistons retract MOST lights. The imposter can spawn with some night vision potions, and they can drink it in their vent. Just a suggestion!

this sounds like a good idea, however a pretty big flaw is that by using a night vision potion other players would be able to see the potion particles coming off of you, so this would basically give away your role if anyone sees you
