I am from Turkey. My family lives near the coast of Mediterrenean. My father and mother grew up as nomad herders. I didn't live that way of life. But there are our neighbors lve just like the family in the video. The historic story of our people is very impressive. Despite thousands of years and thousands of kilometers, Turkic people are very similar. Turkic peoples stil live like their common ancestors , from the warm coasts of Mediterrenean to the cold costs of Siberian North Sea...

I am a Crimean Tatar which had nomadic grand-grandparents. I didn't see that lifestyle myself but I wager it was probably a similar experience to this family you showed us here (though we lived in Northern Black sea at the time and instead of mountains we had an almost endless steppe as far as the eye can see from what I hear). We too have a long history of searching pasture lands in different seasons for flocks of sheep and horses. I respect this family and any who live a similar lifestyle just like our ancestors did. Greetings to Kyrgyz people from Turkey and thank you for showing us this beautiful documentary.

@@globestories. One small suggestion, I think you could try to minimize your dialog, let the scene carry itself with a bit of music. I think many people are not here for an overload of information, they just want to see the beautiful scenery and cinematography. Try to bring out what you say through the video itself. You could even just add small subtitles "Week 2" etc instead of actually voicing it.

These Great Nomadic People are from the "Chuckchi Tribes" the close relatives of the American Native Population, whose ancestors crossed the Bering strait to Alaska during the "Ice Age" about 20,000 years ago the same way they do today with dog sleds and the first Humans on the American continent. These people are the close relatives of all Eskimos, Inuits, American Indian Tribes, and the Mayans in the Amazon.

I'm Kyrgyz who lived in Europe(Germany) and now reside in US. This is the first video in English I was able to find, where someone from outside of post soviet countries depicted their personal experience living with Kyrgyz herders. My wife and my kids enjoyed watching this video, since they don't understand Kyrgyz or Russian. There are few flaws in this video, which I think need to be edited. I heard few times Mongolian throat songs, which have nothing to do with Kyrgyz culture. There are some other things which a native Kyrgyz viewer can notice, but in general, a very good video.

Thank you so much! And well heard with the Mongolian sounds :) though my Kyrgyz friends told me, it’s not a problem at all to use this song, since first of all it’s just the vibe which fits perfectly and because secondly the Mongolian and Kyrgyz culture have so much in common. It was really important to me that native Kyrgyz people are approving with this video so I showed it to many people in Kyrgyzstan before publishing it actually 😅 I’m glad you liked it anyway! Haha, not a thing and I might be being little "penible", and I'm not trying to critisize you or your Kyrgyz friends, but just for comparison, this would be like making a video about Germany and using Swiss or Austrian yodeling songs, or if you visit Mongolia in the future and use Kyrgyz Komuz or Kazach Dombra songs, I think my fellow Mongolian friends could get little offended. Sorry, even within Germany, where I lived for a long time, I offended Schwabs or Sachs(Saxons), or Franks by expressing wrong context.

I grew up on a farm we also milked cows by hand and separated the milk. We always had fresh raw milk, butter and cheese. At these times we are in now I want to do that again, hard work, making my own food. Free lifestyle is right.
