This is some of the best comedy I have ever seen. Its such a shame this isnt on regular TV so everyone can enjoy these wonderful comedies.

Wonderful show with warm-hearted humor for everyone ! Very funny show,it is a shame that it was taken off the air for so long with such flimsy reasons. This is a true American classic and part of our heritage,there is nothing shameful or wrong with this show.

Tim Moore said he would never tell a joke he couldnt tell in front of his mother. This is a cast of pure talent. I'm saddened that Tim, or any of the others, did not receive a star on the Hollywood walk of fame....unbelievable!

@ Rhonda, Hello, Why? There was a 5-year time limit. A sponsorship is $30,000 according to one website and according to another it is $40,000. The explanation of the process and the requirements are all listed on online websites. But he made that promise that you speak of and I believe he kept it all his life. That tells you a lot about a man. He didn't get his earthly reward but the eternal reward is so much better and so much more important.

@@mikestang679 , Hello, I read that the local Chamber of Commerce decides who gets a star. I'm wondering whether plaques for the Amos and Andy stars could memorialize them and be placed in a permanent visible location like on Lenox Avenue, on Broadway or near the Apollo theater. I wish someone who knew how to facilitate this would step forward and get it done. Maybe there's even an organization out there somewhere that could help. I would be willing to donate funds.

This show is better than most that are on today! I had never seen any of the Amos and Andy scotches before, due to the reputation of being an embarrassment from the past! I finally gave them a try and couldn't stop laughing, loved every minute and the actors were great! 😆😄😃✨😎✨👏🏼

I remember growing up in Brooklyn and my mom and dad watching the show. The intro music was my cue for bedtime. That was a great show. Funny. And their was no racist involved. It was just good old American comedy. Nobody said anything against or racist about the show. Both black and white enjoyed the show. Miss those days. Sad how everything has changed. Every comedy to its time period.This show was on tv during the jim crow era . When a majority of blacks were considered inferior. Anyone raised under those influences wouldn't see the racism in this show or society..Even today comedy can be mean spirited and offense yet funny

The "racist angle" on "Amos and Andy" is that the actors on the original radio " Amos and Andy Show" were white. But for the TV show to show 1950's "social progress" they actually hired black actors, (putting white actors in blackface to play black people on TV was a definite no-no). But they still had to play funny/wise clowns and buffoons in a basically segregated America. But, on the other hand, they did cash all their nice paychecks...just sayin...

Ernestine Wade was the beautiful actress who played Sapphire. She did not make her a clown or a stereotype but rather a genteel lady who put up with George. She might be the most neglected actress of her time. You Tube has brought her back and shows us what an extraordinary talent she was.

I have recently re-discovered this series! I can completely understand the uproar since it was the ONLY representation at the time... but now between the Wayans and Tyler Perry,,, and Viola Davis and Shemar Moore.... these are very simple (post vaudeville) stories and the actors are great! No one talk bad about Ms Jenkins and Sapphire Stevens!

I want to thank you, Mr Morris, for all you do in supplying the episode titles and numbers and the names of those actors/actresses who are in each episode. Thank you so much. It is really kind and thoughtful for you to do this for all of us. At about 10:00 the uranium part comes in this episode and continues to the end of the episode. And in reading through the comments again, I noticed at least two other posters who commented that this is the Uranium Mine episode. And I do appreciate others putting up the episodes. It is so kind and thoughtful of them to do so. But for my own list I would like to have the legal titles and that is why I basically check yours with mine because I feel that your information is the most reliable. Thanks again.

@@garymattscheck9066 Hello, and I love it when the Kingfish pours it on the two women!!! Sorry, But I disagree with you for so many, many reasons which I have posted under other episode comments. My favorite is the Kingfish. The way they treated him was just over the top. Oh well, I know it was a comedy and they were playing a role, but I just wish their characters could have been toned down a lot. I do like their singing voices especially Sapphire's was beautiful except when she was singing off key on purpose. I loved to hear Tim Moore singing also. I wish they could have recorded something together but I guess that did not happen. Thank you.

I'm white and as a kid watched this show and never once thought that these black actors where anything like what the left would call them and this series. These were ACTORS playing characters nothing like what they were in real life. The shows always made me laugh and smile. Do this, think of them as white and make the shows again and see if they wouldn't get a laugh. You see the situation comedy was just that. All about the "situation" not the race of the characters. a "?" youtube when do you decide to remove these shows? Please don't.
