Phenomenal individuals - each and every one - before the camera, ever so likeable, adorable outright, eternally memorable. Always a great script. How far a nation has fallen that forced the program off the air and today nearly denies its existance. That's "progress" a la the darling progressives and their willing victims.
@jackm44574 жыл бұрын
@death2pc I'm guessing you were not around in the early 60s when the NAACP lobbied to get tv stations to stop showing reruns of A&A. It is a very funny show, and unlike the long-running radio show that preceded it, that was voiced by white actors, this tv show had many fine black actors finally getting work. However, in 1960, probably half of white america had never known a black person as a friend, or a neighbor or as a work associate, and most of their "understanding" of black Americans was from Amos and Andy. My awesome grandmother, born in 1888, had NEVER met a person of color until she was 85 when I introduced her to a couple of college classmates. She was stunned how much they were like ME, and not like the characters of Amos and Andy that she had listened to and watched for over 25 years. Today, it's much different. The only white people that don't have black americans as their friends or associates are usually racists that want it that way. But it was so different 60 years ago.
