Saw him open for Norah Jones. Amazing singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Met him at his merch table after the show, bought this CD, and he signed it. Such a humble, and friendly guy. I appreciate that !!

I heard him sing this song more than a decade ago. I was half-sleep on my couch and he came on Jay Leno. The song was so beautiful that I woke up to listen and made sure I heard his name. Next day I was traveling to Tallahassee on business. After the meeting I found a music store and bought his first album “Amos Lee.” Been with him since. Never had the pleasure of seeing him perform live. One day...🤞🏽

I am at ease In the arms of a woman Although now most of my days are spent alone A thousand miles from the place I was born When she wakes me She takes me back home Now most days I spend like a child Who's afraid of ghosts in the night I know there ain't nothing out there But I'm still afraid to turn on the light I am at ease In the arms of a woman Although now most of my days are spent alone A thousand miles from the place I was born When she wakes me She takes me back home I am at ease In the arms of a woman Although now most of my days are spent alone A thousand miles from the place I was born When she wakes me She takes me Yeah when she wakes me She takes me Yeah when she wakes me She takes me back home When she wakes me She takes me back home

Love it. He cuts loose on this live version. It amazes me when an incredible singer is so patient and disciplined. His songs and recordings say it all. Then he comes out and sings this song with incredible blues and soul riffs and it's like wow....so he chooses to use that like a secret weapon. Amazing.

Well, let me set the rest of you straight. His a Philly boy that went to college in S. Carolina. Don't try and put him in a genre, he's his own man. Amos in this era would be like Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, James Taylor in their prime. I don't know whats going on with people today and their musical taste, but I can tell you Amos is an Icon, Super Star, any Superlative that you can come up with. Wake up America, Wake up World, give Amos a listen, he'll suck you in if you have any heart left !
