This song is F'n beautiful in every way. Listening to this song helped me in so many ways. I was finally able to release a little hurt and a little frustration. It may not sound like much to everyone else ,but to me it was the first sign of relief and healing I had felt in such a long time.

Had an Ex that said they related so much and this song says it all.... They confuse facts, lie and make sure truth isn't known or at least distorted in their favor. A great song!... To the bone,i can feel the pain in his words and recall my own. And although the lies swirl all around this ballad from Ex, it speaks for Me.. Every word. Ive not had a greater more representative song. He says what i want to scream atop this mountain. With a " Hear Me?!!!!!!!" that will echo like thunder rumbling through the valley. Never again.

Here from Ed Sheeran song. January 4, 2024 Little do you know I'm going through the same thing. He spent his time worrying about me and didn't continue his probation... He was 36 when I met him. We spent a year or two together. We celebrated two Christmas's, two Valentine's, two Halloweens, and everything in betweens Then we planned on getting married and having a baby. He spent every minute on me. When we first met, our eyes locked and it was as if we were meant to be. He was the only one to stick up for me the way he did and he was the only one I could truly confide in after years of running away from everyone. But I broke it off.... Too scared I guess. Maybe I had a few control issues from a broken confused childhood. Maybe I was angry. However, through this we remained friends but had hate for the fact we couldn't be together and that it didn't work out. I spent the last 6-7 months with other men and women. Some whom I gave more of my time to trying to reveal and find a more intimate connection. How I wished I would have listened to myself when he said "I love you." Maybe to this day....he always really did. And I lost him to another woman. It did happen eventually after he noticed me with other men. He was resistant to trying to sleep with another woman. I think in the end... He either did it for me or he did it for him. Does that change things? Yes. Very much. So I can't depend on that. So I try to tell myself he did love me regardless of our problems. Well,...he went on to jail the day before July 4th, 2023. For five years.... on an old charge. I will be thirty by that time. And oh how I know that time passes by without me being able to grasp or stop it. I hate this "new life". To be a 25 year old and wishing and waiting.. I love him. I'm keeping a hold of him. I wished I could tell you all the amazing things he's done. How he has completely changed my life. I'll update in the future.

"What's Going On" was kind of the soundtrack of my divorce a long time ago and this seems to be the soundtrack for ending of what was an important, beautiful period of my life with a lovely man - but it had to end. It encompasses the wistful, longing of an end / new beginnings

Philadelphia. South Carolina. When it comes to the soul, a physical origin pales in comparison to what chaos, poverty, and heartache teach. For those are places that can make a man truly pensive.

This is the best divorce song, that’s ever been written!!! There are others like “You’re Gone, And I Cant Fight It”- Bob Mould, “Last Day Of Our Acquaintance”- Sinead O’Connor, “Why”- Annie Lennox, and a few county songs... But IMHO, this is the best!!!
