No kidding. I've been listening to him for 15 years or so, and I don't understand why he's still under the radar. Apparently the majority of the music listening world has gone deaf. So many great songs.

This song was my introduction to Amos. I was at the top of a ladder, painting while listening to Pandora. The moment he started singing I froze, transfixed. Then I hurried down the ladder to see who was singing before Pandora moved to the next song. That day Amos became my favorite artist and a kindred spirit. He echoes my soul.

I know what you mean. My nephew commited suicide earlier this year, followed by a cousins death a couple months later... I ran into the song "cold little heart" by Michael kiwanuka...I cried the first thousand times I heard it. I can sing it now without crying, but it's still hard.

@@BradySzabo you are absolutely right, There are many today I believe would have a truly hard time doing well in one take. Then there are quite a lot that are just ridiculous and not only get it in one but make it better each time they do it, like Brent Smith or Chris Daughtry, David Cook, Lizzy Hale I mean the list is quite long nowadays and in just about every genre.

Yes, this song is so incredible 💗. As for Amos Lee, no WORDS needed!! I discovered Amos Lee while I was staying in Honolulu, Hawaii, the first song I ever heard & listened to was " In the arms of a woman", I was hooked right then there this was in 2008. Now I'm in Northern California, up near the Oregon border in Yreka Ca, and I came across his Album "Mission Bell," and I'm so happy I now have this album. My absolutely crazy about his song, "Windows Rolled Down", although it's seriously hard to just pick one song as a favorite because the entire album is bomb!!! It's now it's...2021 and I can't wait for a new album to come out.... Thank you Amos Lee for these fantastic songs, I love them all ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🎶🎶🎶🎶

Very under rated, like many other talented artists that the majority of people will never have the pleasure hearing!
@artsygirl7411 жыл бұрын
The majority of people may never have the pleasure of hearing because they listen to mainstream music, musicians that a record company picks and promote for the masses to hear. Artist will sell their souls for such for such deals with the big name companies. Some can't carry a tune live and they will sing whatever they are told to sing by the music companies. It's about fortune and fame to most of them, and not about the music. With artists like Amos it's truly about the music and having artistic control over what they sing and how, and not doing what they are made to do by some big name record company.

Well, the morning came like a freight train Bearing down on me from a thousand miles of rail Well, it came and gone and kept rolling on Laying up all night with my tear-stained sheet as my veil I don’t wanna see you again, I don’t wanna feel your breath As you leaned on me so peacefully while we slept And I don’t want the keys to our door, I don’t live there anymore And I’ll do my best just to forget the dreams we dreamt Well, the morning came with the pouring rain And I felt just as empty as a pail With the evidence and your crime confessed Don’t seem right that it’s me who's spending nights in jail I don’t wanna see you again, I don’t wanna feel your breath As you leaned on me so peacefully while we slept And I don’t want the keys to our door, I don’t live there anymore And I’ll do my best just to forget the dreams I dreamt If you feel a chill in the air It’s my spirit hanging somewhere and if you ever get scared Look on the bright side You got a new life Now the evening’s come and I’m all alone And I can’t tell if silence is my foe or my friend Well, I’m holding on but I ain’t too strong I gotta get some rest before that train comes back ‘round the bend I don’t wanna see you again, I don’t wanna feel your breath As you leaned on me so peacefully while we slept And I don’t want the keys to our door, I don’t live there anymore And I’ll do my best just to forget the dreams we dreamt Dreams we dreamt.
