Two of the best in the space together on a podcast!? 🔥🔥🔥

I found this interview with my favorite music KZbinr highly entertaining and amusing. Thanks Steve! Leon is the only KZbinr I regularly tune into. He treats everyone with so much respect, compassion and generosity and is a person of great integrity. Leon has such a deep awareness of all things here on planet earth. He'll surprise you with what he knows about just about any topic. The music industry desperately needs proper leadership and I would vote for Leon to take over the music business from Daniel Ek immediately.

Leon shows many practical, simple things that so many don't mention like a high cut on the amp to reduce the fizziness. And the love of the giant sounding and wide clean, chorusy sound is a great place to be aurally.

What a great video you two. A lot of great information. Truly informative. So, I have been sick for a bit with the crud. So, to kill the boredom. I got out my Helix, my living room amp (PV JSX Combo) and started experimenting with the Helix in the loop after watching Scott Holiday's (Rival Sons) rig rundown. Shocked by him using it as his amps live. I have always tinkered with the Helix but never fully left my amps. Your videos Steve has helped a lot to geek out to the Helix but always went back to my amps. But now I am really loving the Helix now. I think this will be my mainstay. I go back to back with my amps to Helix, and I am shocked to say, I like the Helix sounds more. Added some of my favorite pedals, but really, the pedals in the Helix are quite good. I think the Helix is my now my main rig through my cabs. I haven't gone down the IR rabbit hole. I am enjoying using my 4 different cabs for flavors. Leaning on one 412 cab with old G12K-85's. Which really sounds great with the Helix. Anyways, I'm writing a book. Just wanted to say thank you both for your videos and information you both share. Much respect

Always good to follow podcasts with Leon. He is such a cool dude. I like his attitude and obviously his videos and playing are stellar.

Love Leons videos and attitude. The "good enough" thing really resonated with me. A while ago, I started thinking about what IO would be using if I had not gotten into modeling. The answer was ONE AMP. So, my new approach to modeling is minimalistic. One or two amps, the same reverb and delay for each, and only the modulations change per song (and many need no modulation at all). This simplifies the maintenance of my digital rig so much, I can actually concentrate on playing rather than endlessly searching for something better. Well, except for overdrives - I am obsessed with them, and always trying others (in and out of the box). But I am entitled to one guilty pleasure, no? Great discussion Steve.

The comment about " if you're the guitar player you spend all of your time fixing everyone else's tech problems". Man, that is so true.

Great video Steve, thanks as always for great content. I have to echo others here, the cuts were really distracting, and left no through-line in the conversation, especially early. Very jarring as seemingly disparate topics jumped up from nowhere within seconds of each other.

Much appreciated feedback! I will keep it in mind for future episodes. Thank you!

Enjoy the video but is there several edits or was Leon’s video glitching some? Just keep it natural.

We went off on some irrelevant tangents that I didn't think were as interesting. Plus some mumbles and all that. It would've been like an hour 40. Tried to trim some fat lol

@@SteveSterlacci I gotta say that i'm in for the mumbles and the tangents. Is what i enjoy with Phil McKnight, That Pedals Show Q&A, Tone Junkie Podcast, Mythos Livestreams or Dipped in tone. With all those cuts i feel i'm missing something. Unless you enter in NDA stuff there's no need to cut anything... please! 😀
