My problem is I have ampeg svt through a PR-1832 cab that has a folded 18” in the bottom and when I hit the very low notes like on a B or E string the 18 really farts when I dig in and I want to take the low notes to even out with the high notes or maybe just slightly above. How do you do that with a compressoen

On the video you say that it's the actual LED on the right that activates the light-sensor? Truly? From the bottom of the LED? Or could it be that there's another led coupled inside? Just curious, as there's not much specification on Ampeg pages?

Slabrocker - The Right LED (all LEDs) are powered by electricity. It’s just an indicator of how much voltage the optical circuit is using at the time. As the input signal changes, that is affected by how much the knobs are cranked, higher or lower. Then, the ratio of upper and lower limits of the LED circuit are adjusted to send a set range of voltage to the LED. Example: if the LED is always on at 5 volts DC, then they smallest input needs to be lower than that (ie. zero = off). As the compressor circuit works harder on the input signal, it’s voltage rises and the LED voltage rises. Hopefully I was able to explain that for you. At my age, Sometimes all the crap in my brain gets in the way. 😉

🤣🤣🤣 Save for distressor or opto stomp But this or cs2 is killer I use bass preacher atm and it adds thickness to mids in a good way also helps me keep it tight when running loud stage vol I’d have blown long time ago

Slapping shows the effect of compression the most. I’d agree in most cases but this really lets you know what it sounds like.
