Amplid Singular Directional 2025 Snowboard Review

I have this board from previous season. This is NOT a swiss knife by any stretch of imagination, definetely have some limitations to it, like buttering for example BUT. With that being said this is an absolutely amazing board for someone who loves to carve, love to be stable cause you can take this thing to the limit in any conditions, ice, whatever.

The pains of having a big foot! For the record - I tested the 158 Singular with Size US 12 boots and was totally fine until I started trying to get super low carving. But if wide boards are top of your shopping list Amplid have a great range specifically designed for people like us. I particular enjoyed the Killswitch!

Do the added pontoon beams make much difference from last year's model? I've had my eye on the singular since Amplid first launched it. Excited to hear a review of the new psychonaut as well. 😃

On hard pack it really makes a difference. On soft snow or pow obviously it doesn't matter.

Hi, you said that the 158 is the perfect size for you. Can you say anything about your specs for reference? I've demoed the singular a few times and I really like it, it was loads of fun on mellow slopes and at mellow speed, but I think it could have been more stable and slightly stiffer for hard carves and more aggressive riding. But I suspect I would like it better in 162 for my size and type of riding. The one I tested was a 158 and it was the previous generation, 22-24. Any thoughts on that? For reference I am 187 cm (~6'2"), 82-83 kg (182-185 lb), boots US10.0-10.5.

Hey! With your body height you should def be on the 162 length. That is also slightly stiffer and will suit your bio specs better than the 158!
