Thanks for the simple approach on mounting the doors & hinges. Our shed repair project turned into sooo much more effort than we expected (rebuilt the doors from scratch, replaced the bottom 18" of siding all the way around, so all that took us several weekends). Thanks to you video on hinges the last step went very smoothly.

I’m doing that now. My yard floods so water damage has caused erosion all the way around the bottom, and doors are completely rotted. I did the framing on the doors today but I did them wrong. I framed the wood the opposite way instead of laying them flat 🤦‍♂️

Really nice - Been very entertained, and the doors on my shed mimic pretty much what you built. I used a lot of Hardie-Plank so the things are probably twice as heavy as your doors, but they should be fine with the great long strap (T) hinges I'm using. Thanks! Well done.

Definitely doing mine like this. It will be nice with that overlap because you can put in a foam strip for a nice seal around the doors. That with some spray foam it'll be super nice to work in once I add an ac unit and run wiring out to it.

It's about adding time as a deterrent. Still, if you fill the screw heads with jb weld, it will take so long to remove them that it'll be less time just to use a crow and mini sledge to pry the door open.

I just finished my shed and found out they want 450 bucks for an outswing exterior 34" door at home depot, has to be custom ordered, so I was looking for a video just like this to help me make my own, this is perfect, I'll just make adjustments for just needing a single door and I have enough leftover siding and lumber to only have to buy the hinges and a couple clamps. thanks for posting this I learned a lot. I figured out how to do a roof this should be relatively fun and easy..
@philipoien7562

Use threaded pipe couplings to connect sections of pipe to extend the length of pipe clamps. A collection of 2 ft, 4 ft, and 10 ft by 3/4" diameter pipes with threaded couplings on one end give all sorts of length possibilities. I used 14 ft of pipe to hold square the 12 ft by 80 in side walls of my shed while I attached the siding.
