I built the door on my storage shed the same way except I put the 2x4s turned so the door was thicker and I filled it with styrofoam packing peanuts I had laying around just in case I someday wanted to weatherize the shed. I figured better in my door than in the garbage can. Really enjoying this series!

Looking good! One tip I would pass along is put some 4” casters on your wire rack shelf. I did that a few years ago and it works great! Makes it easy to clean and for now will let you move it easier during construction. Can’t wait to see the next one and what color you pick😎

I agree with David here. Put casters on rack shelf. I bought mine from Costco, those already come with casters, but i had one from some other place and ordered the casters from amazon. Makes is so much easier to move around if needed.

Loved watching your build of the new shop. Did you ever consider spray foam insulation for the new shop? It can get COLD in Tennessee just like it can get cold in North Carolina. Insulation works both for heat and cold. A lot of Sothern builders didn't consider insulation when they were building some years ago.
@Samcraftcom

I've not looked at it lately... I'm not a fan of how spray insulation locks your electrical into place or forces you to use conduit and exterior runs. Last I looked it was also extremely pricey.

would it be possible to use a door made this style as interior doors? What do you think? I want to have better doors in terms of sound isolation, unfortunately the doors are in the market not that great, one option would be to go for solid doors, but they are crazy expensive and generally considered in luxury class.
@nicecobra1991

The way we soundproof and insulate our doors in Russia we covered existing doors with some fiber insulation material , then covered it with with faux leather and nailed it with decorative nails. It was warm, soundproof and looked rich. You can do it on one or both sides of the door. Also, sound goes well through the gaps around the door. So make sure there is a good seal around the edges ,top and bottom of the door. Good luck!
