The sense of hearing is just incredible and still something taken for granted as long as you don't have trouble with it. If we can fix hearing-loss (and hopefully noise induced tinnitus at that) it will improve the quality of life for so many people.

She writes that mammals don’t regenerate haircells. This is not, according to me, completely right. The danish scientist Kirkegaard and his colleague discovered that there are bats( mammals) can regenerate their haircells. It was published in PubMed.

Thank you for your work! I experienced hearing loss due to inner ear infection, possibly COVID. It came on very suddenly. It is devastating, and a problem I deal with every day.

@@lightyagami47299 Have you seen an audiologist? Or an ENT doctor? Do you have congestion.. your eustachian tubes may be blocked. Do you have any problems with balance, or have any dizziness?

This is very interesting. I have recently experienced sudden sensorineural hearing loss, and as I'm sure you are aware doctors globally are debating whether the increase in reported cases is a result of long Covid or not. As my career relies heavily on my ears, this has been a devestating blow.
