She's quite arrogant. I met her once in Selfridges and my mother very sweetly paid her a compliment and said you were so lovely so she raised her eyebrows and said aggressively "I WAS???" My mother was definitely paying her a compliment and she immediately said "yes of course I meant u are lovely!" But I was very annoyed by how arrogant she was being with an older lady who was clearly trying to pay her a compliment. And frankly she looked extremely plain looking at that time anyway so lord knows what she was throwing a hissy fit about.

Saif was manipulated by his mother who never wanted Amrita Singh as her daughter in law and also Saif is someone who falls for superficial beauty. Amrita had gained weight after child birth and had become unattractive in Saif's eyes. That's why Kareena works very hard to stay in shape and remain attractive in front of Saif. Saif has huge temper problems as well. He was a spoilsport. After watching all interviews of this family's current and past members this is my observation and understanding. They did not deserve Amrita Singh. She deserved far better. She is graceful and loyal and that is why she never married again. I wonder if she had become Muslim to marry that immature idiot Saif and thinks that now no one of her calibre will be available and will marry and accept her and give her respect and dignity that she rightfully deserves.

It’s an old interview I realise, but what makes Amrita different from other actresses is that she is not only smart and intelligent person, but she is not putting any pretence infront of the camera, or having those fake smile as to convey how witty she can be. Just straight forward, humble, respectful and is not reactive to some of the repetitive questions being asked. Her responses about her thoughts & reflections of her life are very pragmatic, I am sure something lot of women can relate too… none of that on & on bs about “how hard I have worked to get to where I am….” She and Sushmita are few of the underrated personalities in the industry

This interview seems to be an older interview as children with Amrita and Saif are now grown up. Amrita as it was mentioned is acting but apparently on some TV shows and not on movies, I guess. I loved her acting. I think she was engaged to Cricketer Ravi Shastri before getting married to Saif. And yes, I would agree with all the comments below about this interviewer, who I found out was Pooja Bedi. She was in the song 'pehla nasha pehla khumar'. She had no idea of how to do some good interview. Very like to the face, rude in essence. Thoura sa dheeraj karay...aysay bhar bhar bhar bouli chali jaa rahi hay. Hats off to Amrita Singh.
