@@shankar4330 The Travancore kings did a lot for education. Maharaja Swathi Thirunal and Maharaja Ayilyam Thirunal were big supporters. They started Maharaja's College in 1834, showing their commitment. They made schools and improved how things were taught. They also brought in ideas from the West to make education better. Their efforts still impact education in Kerala today.

How they were, when in power. They messed up a SYSTEM. Books may not reflect all. Present day came as a result after the mass fights which stopped inequality especially by the - old -communist in kerala. And Today is after a long way in democracy.
