This fixed my RSX type S 3rd gear grind pop out. All I did was change the fluid and that trans shifter as smooth as it can be.

3:34 Woopsy-doodle! I'm too used to working on trucks with a lot of ground clearance, so I've done this a couple times with the Celica and the Avalon my ex wife and me had when we were together. Definitely a little embarrassing..... Since it's been a year, has your issue come back or is it still holding strong?
@Rawrkee Жыл бұрын
😆 ahhh man, I completely forgot about buying him a new oil pan hahaha the civic still drives nicely! I've done a few mods to the clutch system but have not had any issues with grind nor pop out
@braydenlacey4765 Жыл бұрын
I want to put an exhaust on mine, but I know I need to fix my pop out first. It rarely happens; but when it does I sometimes can’t catch it before I start getting back into the gas because it doesn’t pop out all the way and then my revs shoot sky high. And if I had a loud exhaust it would be extremely obnoxious😭
@Rawrkee Жыл бұрын
ahhh mann, I used to hate that when it happened to me. Did you figure out the issue yet???
@AirsoftShizsAndGigs3 жыл бұрын
Deffo do the clutch pedal adjustment, makes the biggest difference and you will have to get used to the new bite point as itll be higher!
@LoveLikeaHurricane2 жыл бұрын
adjust it, but the real bite point should be about 1/3 off from the floor when starting from a dead start. You will cause other types of transmission wear if you adjust the clutch out all the way with minimal slop at the top and bite point up towards the top.

are you still experiencing the pop outs? My 07 SI is getting bad, like sketch af lol

No sir, Amsoil alleviated the random grinding. It was a combination of replacing the cmc and slave, along with adjusting the clutch pedal

Would you avoid a used accord if the current owner says it has third gear pop out? The price is decent but risky ig.
@Rawrkee2 жыл бұрын
It’s very risky. I changed my Clutch Master Cylinder, Slave Cylinder, and Transmission fluid to fix the issue but worst case scenario is rebuilding the transmission. Ask if he did any mods without asking specifically about the CMC, Slave, and tranny fluid. If it were me, I’d take it if it were a reasonable price and if none of the mentioned mods were done

@@Rawrkee hey I have the same thing a Integra I got for 1600 it’s pretty clean for that price but it sometimes pop out of 3rd gear I can just fix it with what used on ur video ?
@Rawrkee Жыл бұрын
@@gabrielplaysguitar7728 I’m not familiar with integras, just be sure to see if this product is safe for your transmission. If it is, then go ahead and do it. It’ll make shifting very smooth and possible prevent pop out. If it’s still popping out, replace your slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder

How’s the transmission now with the Amsoil? Does it pop out now?
@Rawrkee3 жыл бұрын
It def helped with the grinding and gear pop out. I’ve recently been playing with the clutch pedal adjustment and I found that itll cause pop out very rarely. Still tryin to find the clutch pedal sweet spot

Will this fix my car doesn’t engage 3rd at all and 1st gear sometimes goes in and other times it won’t at all and reverse can be shifty as well. Similar problems this guy is saying but I changed the clutch and the clutch pump because it was grinding when I’d try to put it in gear when shifting and depressing the pedal. Anyone got ideas?
@Rawrkee16 күн бұрын
I wouldn't say that this transmission fluid will fix your issues but it only cost me about $40 for the fluid and it remedied my issues: 3rd gear popout and it also shifts more smoothly. If you're having trouble going into some gears, chances are, you'll need to replace your Clutch Master Cylinder and Slave Cylinder. I'm not sure if those are the parts you're referring to as the 'clutch pump'. But before even replacing those parts, I would look into a clutch pedal adjustment. Hope this helps you out, good luck!
@CaptainCornchip16 күн бұрын
@ amazing thanks for replying! Idk myself that’s what the guy at the shop told me he replaced when they already did the clutch but when I would depress the pedal it would grind in 3rd and reverse. Then they did “the clutch pump” and now it shifts smoothly but it doesn’t even go into 3rd at all and as I said 1st is hit or miss sometimes it goes sometimes it doesn’t. I was thinking maybe it needed the shifter bushing replaced or shifter cables? But I’ll def try your suggestions first and thanks again for the response!
