Outstanding Wear Protection
The elevated heat and friction of modern two-cycle marine motors can exceed the film strength of inferior oils, increasing the likelihood of scuffing and wear. HP Marine's exclusive synthetic formulation provides increased lubricity for reduced wear during normal and lean-mix operation (see field study results). APPLICATIONS

I use Marine outboard TCW3 rated oil in my Volvo XC90 and my Jeep Grand Cherokee at a ratio of 1 oz per 5 gallons of gas. It works like Lucas Fuel conditioner but much cheaper. It has to be TCW3 rated. Walmart carries Super Tech Marine outboard oil for $12.00 a gallon. I personally use full synthetic. Amsoil is a excellent choice. Pennzoil and Quicksilver are also very good. This will treat 640 gallons. Works great because it burns ashless which will not harm sins ours or converters. Try it out.

I have a 1995 mariner 75 hp outboard that I just removed the oil injection system . Can I just add your oil to my gas 50:1 ?? Will that work OK ?

Yes you can do that, but if you are going to pre-mix your gas/oil mixture, I'd recommend you use AMSOIL Outboard 100:1 Pre-Mix Synthetic 2-Stroke Oil. HPM can be used either as a premix (50:1 ratio recommended), or used in an oil injection machine. Just make sure the oil injection system is operating properly and doesn't have any internal or external leaks that reduce the amount of oil actually getting injected into the engine. Mercury Marine outboards were notorious for plastic oil pump gear breaking, which required complete engine tear-down to replace.

@@benselby6171 You can use HPM in the injector system, or try AMSOIL Outboard 100:1 Pre-Mix Synthetic 2-Stroke Oil as a pre-mix (don't use the oil injection system). The product code is ATOQT-EA for a quart bottle. ATO can be mixed as lean as 100:1 or any ratio stronger. This is AMSOIL's oldest (and highest priced) 2-stroke product, but still one of the best as well. If I were you, I would try ATO, mixing a small batch of fuel at 50:1, and then mix batches leaner and leaner to find the ratio that lets your engine perform the best, but don't go leaner than 100:1. Examine and clean the spark plugs on each batch as well to monitor engine response to each different batch. Make sure to use the same gasoline for each mixed batch - probably a clean, fresh ethanol-free high octane. Don't be surprised if the 100:1 ratio gives you the best performance, as it is giving the engine the most gasoline/least oil, and the oil hurts performance. ATO is formulated to provide outstanding protection at the 100:1 ratio, so don't worry about that aspect.

Those certifications are expensive and time consuming and the equipment OEM's then want to lock-down your oil formula and prevent updates without going thru certification process again (or charging royalties for being on their list). This entire process keeps low-life oil blenders out of the market, but it doesn't do anything to improve the products offered by premium blenders like AMSOIL. AMSOIL is free to make improvements to their products as technology changes, and they provide a full product warranty as well. When you buy an AMSOIL product, you are getting the latest and best and warranty coverage as well.

what exactly does the TC-W3 mean? I have a 99 mercury Force and was thinking about using this oil. I'm certain it requires the TC-W3 but never knew what that means?

+dkdogs TC-W3 is an engine oil specification from the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA). In this case, it breaks down like this: TC (Two-Cycle), W (Water), 3 indicates this is the 3rd version of this specification. So TC-W3 is a two-cycle engine oil rated for use in marine applications, and the 3 indicates that this is an ashless oil. TC-W2 was a low-ash oil. TC-W was the original spec and allowed even higher levels of ash.

I used to fill my cady 472 with pennzoil tcw3 semisythetic, then pull some off and mix with fuel at 60:1. i swear its the best oil i have ever used in my 69 deville 472. Xd-100 would have benn better though

Would this be good to use in a 1995 125hp Mercury? It is oil injected. Would it still be low smoke or is that only with Evinrude Factory Lean setting?

This would be the best AMSOIL product for your 1995 Mercury 125, but you could also run the Synthetic 2-Stroke Injector Oil (Product Code AIO) as well, which is slightly less expensive. All AMSOIL 2-stroke oil products will reduce the amount of smoke when compared to conventional 2-stroke oils at the same mix ratio, but in your oil injected engine, the injector system controls the actual mixture.

The manual for my 2001 Toro 2 Cycle Snow Thrower recommends that I use NMMA/TC-W3 oil at a premix ratio of 50:1. Can this TC-W3 oil and other TC-W3 2- cycle oils be used in my snow thrower engine? Thanks in advance for your advice in this matter.

Yes, HPM would be a great choice for that spec. If it were mine, I'd also consider using AMSOIL Saber Professional 2-Stroke Oil (ATP), and mix it at either 80:1 or 100:1 (start at 80 and move to 100). There is no marine-related reason why Toro is specifying TC-W3 oils for a snow blower, so it must have been a quality issue at the time of production, i.e. they knew that TC-W3 rated oils had to meet a certain quality spec. Like HPM, AMSOIL ATP is the highest quality 2-stroke oil on the market, but ATP allows you to run leaner mix ratios, which enables the engine to run cleaner, start easier, and produce more power. It also contains a fuel stabilizer in the recent batches (past 12 months).

hell yeah it can, i got my kohler powered mower on xd-100 2 stroke oil, i pull some off and premix at 40;1 and runs very clean,. I also used to fill my 472 69 caddy with pennzoil TC-W3, rigged up a vro with pennzoil TCW3 from the oil and injected at a rat of about 40:1, again very clean with good power and no issues.i also filled and ran a 6-71 detroit diesel 2 stroke with 5 gallons of quicksilver TCW3 and it ran better and cleaner, it was a synthetic blend though, all of mine are water cooled 2 strokes so the synthetic will do in the slightly hoter air cooled 2 strokes like my kohler and your snow thrower.

I'll answer both of your questions with this Reply: To keep things simple and protect both your older motor and your ice auger, I'd recommend Saber Outboard (product code ATO). Like Saber Professional, you can mix it 100:1 or richer. You could start out at 80:1 and then move down to 100:1 if you like. Saber Outboard comes in 8oz bottle or quarts - sorry no 1.5oz envelope
