My dog does well with long distance sits and downs. She is not as laser focused as your dog though. She isn't as quick, and has to "think" if she really wants to listen or not sometimes. Any tips you could give for her to WANT to listen and respond to my commands?
@InsideTheDogWorld6 жыл бұрын
Hey! I Think just repeating exercises will help with the "quickness", having a "faster and lighter" tone in the voice for the command could also enforce it. Would you say your dog is focused enough and don't have to Think alot when you're close? Because the distance Always confuses and distracts them. The solution for that I'd say is to find the "perfect" distance. Not to close and not to far. Just so the result is Good but also a bit challanging. Then gradually try to make the distance larger. If you went to far, simply take a few steps forward and try again. You could go into more detail about the situation if you want me to try to Think of a way to improve your training! EDIT: I realised I went off track a bit, forgot your "WANT" question. The first things I mentioned with the tone of voice works Good for me. If your dog loves to play, make sure to play extra much when she/he did what you asked! Make sure to give your dog such a Good time that he/she associate it with the exercises. That will surely hype your dog to continue training and wanting to improve. It's about having fun if you ask me!

Ska skaffa en Amstaff detta år. Har du några tips? När ska man börja träna den osv :)!
@InsideTheDogWorld5 жыл бұрын
Nice!

Good video but I don't like the tall crop with the tail docked. Just my opinion of course.
@InsideTheDogWorld6 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I understand, the ears are untouched (Not Cropped or taped) and the tail is removed for medical reasons when she was 7-8 months old. It was when I adopted Molly and her tail was broken in two places with no cartilage between the bones. The ears are standing up naturally :)

@@InsideTheDogWorld Ears too eh.
@InsideTheDogWorld3 жыл бұрын
@@John3one7 ears are untouched man. You know, all AST don't have bent ears. Did you know people are *taping* the ears so they bend? Because otherwise they would stand up like Mollys ears does. Her ears are untouched and if you know how cropped ears look like . You'd see that they are untouched

I've heard other trainers describe the same thing generally using 'good' as a bridge marker and 'yes' as a reward marker (before the reinforcer).
@InsideTheDogWorld6 жыл бұрын
Yea. It's especially good if you ask me when you do 'obedience', like heel exercises. Depending on how much you've trained, your dog will lose interest in Always searching for Eye Contact. So I like to use it to get up the motivation to continue and also to let my dog know she's doing it right and that she soon gets the Award

Those ears are not Amstaff ears...that dog may be mostly Amstaff, but there is some definite mixture in their because a full blooded Amstaff won’t have those type of ears.
@InsideTheDogWorld3 жыл бұрын
Nope. You're incorrect. Not all breeds follow the breed standard. 50%Amstaff Tape their dogs ears to bend.
@IslenoGutierrez3 жыл бұрын
@@InsideTheDogWorld Yeah, but natural ears on an Amstaff do not sit up like that..I had three full blooded Amstaffs in which two had natural ears... full blooded Amstaffs don’t have those kind of ears. That dog is mixed with something...
@InsideTheDogWorld3 жыл бұрын
@@IslenoGutierrez Nope, some Amstaffs do have ears like that. Everything you can imagine from ears like this to bent ears naturally. Some have ears bent like they should all naturally, some have half bent ears, some have 1/3 bent ears and some, have fully standing ears. I have a pedigree on her where you can see her ancestors and chip Nr bro.

Um hey, so i just got a puppy, i dont know the breed because my dad got it and he barely knows english
@InsideTheDogWorld7 жыл бұрын
Hey! Congratz on your pup, no one can say for sure what breed it is without taking tests, probably a mix breed if you don't have paper. However if you want you can send me some Pictures and I can give you some ideas what you might have! That isn't the most important thing tho, it just might be interesting to know but most importantly is that your dog is happy and healthy. If you have any questions about training or specific problems your very welcome to write to me and I will be happy to try to help.

@The real deal Thats a great question, I don't:/ I dont know much about AMS dogs. I will have to educate myself more about that before I speak on this topic. Sorry I could not help..

Är din hund kuperad?
@InsideTheDogWorld6 жыл бұрын

@Becoming Godsize Hey dude. Why did you remove your comment about her not being a Amstaff? You got a clear and precise answer of how to think when it comes to breeds and breed standards. You can comment all you want, but you shouldn't remove a comment when you have no arguements back when I corrected you with facts. I only care because this is my channel, and I want other people to be educated when they read misinformation comments!

Hey Bud, nice dog, but that is not an Amstaff. Looks more like a French Bulldog cross with those ears. Never ever seen a Amstaff that looks vaguely like your dog.
@InsideTheDogWorld3 жыл бұрын
Hey, well. What can I tell you except that she got a pedigree and her entire lineage, you know.. there's two major things that make her stick out. No tail, removed by medical reasons. Upstanding ears instead of bent ears. Also very normal. What you are used to see is exhibition amstaffs my friend. Im in a Amstaff community where I live and trust me, they can come in all different shapes and sizes That might not be perfect for exhibition and the breed standard, but they are nonetheless a Amstaff Amstaffs are known for having different ears. People actually TAPE the ears so they bend (google it). Those who dont tape the ears, can get all kind of half standing ears

Where is dogs tail?
@InsideTheDogWorld6 жыл бұрын
I took care of Molly when she was around 7 months old. When I did I noticed her tail was broken in two places and she was in agony. It was removed by Medical reasons and not for "Beauty" reason in any way.
