I have no history or connection with Amstrad but boy do I love the design of the GX4000 console. Switchblade on it and the Sonic GX being made both looked fantastic and this was a lovely coverage of the system's short history with some fascinating tidbits of information.

Excellent video! I have a lot of nostalgia for the GX4000 after seeing it in a shop as a kid and playing on Burning Rubber. I didn't play on one again until ~25 years later, when a load of new-in-box GX4000 consoles got dumped on ebay and I picked on up for cheap. I only have Burning Rubber though, I need to get hold of one of the flash carts so I can enjoy more of the games library, and I believe you can also load up normal CPC games too. But any console with a scart socket built in is a winner! :-)

Always found the GX4000 intriguing, but never enough to spring for one and they keep getting more expensive. Nice video as always (on a side note, I had at least 5 ads throughout the video... really killed the pace).

Sorry to hear :( You know, KZbin places ads automatically so that we, content creators, don't have to worry and loose time with manually placing them. By the way, Patrons got to watch this video a full week early and without ads, though. Thanks for being here and for the support, Bruno.

Another great video as usual in this channel... You have done a pretty good job on documenting for the script of this episode! I am an owner of an Amstrad 6128 Plus and is an amazing 8 bit machine.... shame that it came out too late! Glad that the Amstrad scene is healthier than ever and there are seceral exciting developments on the way... From the 27 games I would also suggest Navy Seals

I was always intrigued by this machine. I remember seeing it in some shop's window back in the day and it looked stunning, but the common conception at the time was that it was simply a CPC without keyboard, severely limiting the choice of games. Good system review, after 30 years my curiosity has been satisfied, keep it up 👍

I had the chance to get one of these for a very cheap price a couple of years ago, however I didn't got it due to the fact of its "poor" library, nevertheless its a very interesting system. A very capable 8bit machine and Imean, its Amstrad ;) I played that Robocop game in a emulator, and it looks AWESOME for an 8 bit game, also Burning Rubber, it almost has an early 16bit feel to it. It would be so cool to see a Sonic port in the machine hehe. Amazing video Pixel, great job on this one. Cheers ;)

The amstrad GX4000 was definitely a beast, now if there was only an input for both cassette drive, tapedrive and keyboard, that console might could,ve been compatible with more software titles. What a misoppertunity from amstrad.

Achas que o Chase H.Q. II special Criminal Investigation existe mesmo para este sistema ? ( Penso que só se conhece 1 ou 2 cópias!? ) deste jogo .
@itsaPIXELthing4 жыл бұрын

Outro flop interessante é o Sam coupe. O manic miner lá é qualquer coisa.
